The VHT-1x HDBaseT Transmitter delivers an HDMI 1080p video signal over a single Cat5e/6/7 cable, up to 230ft (70m) and a 4K signal up to 131ft (40m) to the VHR-1x HDBaseT Receiver. To speed up installations and troubleshooting, the transmitter is equipped with a link quality indicator, which will flash if the Category cable has an issue such as being too long or has been damaged.

The VHR-1x HDBaseT Receiver receives an HDMI video signal over a single Cat5e/6/7 cable from a VHT-1x HDBaseT Transmitter or from a HDBaseT Video Matrix Switcher. The receiver is powered through the connected Category cable using PoH (Power over HDbaseT). It also receives an IR control signal through the same cable and delivers it to the connected display or projector.

However, most HDMI cables are not capable of delivering video over long distances.
