Resource Planning – Loading Calendar

Before April 2016

– Home-grown legacy system (called Loading Calendar) for forecasting hours by Task (WBS2)

– Average $/hr based on budgeted fee hours for each task

– No determination of level of expertise other than average $/hr

– Multiple discipline tasks impossible to determine break down per discipline

– One time per month update window for ETC Hours



– Hours in LC uploaded to Vision

• Calculated Completion % based on hours remaining and original budget $

• Revenue calculated based on % complete calculation

• View of project performance in system was always in rear view mirror

– Many PMs used self-created spreadsheets to track project performance and forecast
