    A Likert Scale is a type ofpsychometric scale frequently used inpsychology questionnaires. It wasdeveloped by and named afterorganizational psychologist Rensis Likert.

    A Likert item is simply a statement

    which the respondent is asked to evaluateaccording to any kind of subjective orobjective criteria; generally the level ofagreement or disagreement is measured.
