Student Video Competition

We're looking for creative videos that show off students' digital skills whilehighlighting the value of global and intercultural experiences! Your video canfocus on any topic or idea, such as:

Videos will be shared with global companies and organizations. Winners will be invited to a one-on-one virtualcareer building meeting with a company representative and will be invited to present their videos and ideas atprofessional development events. Winning videos will be featured on college and university websites.

How is Georgia connected globally? Why should students be more globally-minded?Interview a professional: What are companies looking for in new recruits?Tell us about an internship or study abroad trip: What did you learn that you will take to the workplace?Share your top ten tips (or top ten mistakes to avoid) when seeking a job.

Read the "Video Tips" and "Steps" next.Record a video for 2-3 minutes. You may work alone or in agroup. Please state your name(s) and your school(s) in thevideo. If you have a concept that is longer than 3 minutes,please email AGSC@gsu.edu for approval. Get creative. There are no limits to what you can do! INSTRUCTIONS

VIDEO TIPS

Be close to the camera or use ahigh quality headset or

microphone to capture bettersound. We can always increasethe volume with editing as well

but the closer the better forsound quality.

Record horizontally notvertically. Shoot in 4K or Ultra

HD - UHD if possible, for betterquality. Lighting - try to avoid

dark settings or having awindow behind you.

Use natural lighting (window infront of you, or artificial

lighting).

Eyes on the camera! Make sureto look directly at the cameralens and not the screen. Avoidwatching yourself or others asthis can be distracting to you

and the viewer.

VIDEO TIPS

Don't forget to include your name and your school in the video.

Do a few tests to see what youthink and what you need to

adjust.

Be confident and smile!If you mess up, no worries.Just pause and pick it back up

where you were..

Record and edit your video. Itshould be 2-3 minutes.
