VIDEO GAMES FOR OLDER ADULTSBy Janey M. Rifkin

At last! Technology designed for seniors, and which dramatically increase brain power – now on the market for everyone with a computer. Video games may seem like mindless ways to waste time, but carefully designed to meet certain standards, they actually improve cognitive skills – and directed toward seniors, such games have shown remarkable results improving attention and focus, and sharpening skills needed for multitasking, as for driving!

Now – no excuse for not being computer literate. Remember, Savvy Seniors have ongoing classes to teach you!

Two such games, researched and tested with 60-to-79 year-olds are NeuroRacer and Posit Science. Game designers promise future versions for tablets and phones; making the training accessible for more people, and not just relegated to home.

Truth is – anybody at any age can be better at almost anything – better tomorrow than we are today.
