Ho Chi Minh

Mausoleum

Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is, in the tradition of Lenin, Stalin and Mao, the final resting place of Ho

Chi Minh. The former leader is placed in a glass sarcophagus set deep in the bowels of the

monumental building that has become a site of pilgrimage.

Presidential Palace

Presidential Palace was constructed in the 18th century to house the French Governor-General

of Indochina. We will visit the Presidential Palace’s gardens and Uncle Ho’s humble house,

where Ho Chi Minh lived until his last days. It’s a modest dwelling he built based on a rural

Vietnamese stilt house.

One Pillar Pagoda is a Buddhist pagoda, built of wood on a single stone pillar, is designed to

resemble a lotus blossom, symbol of purity. It’s considered as one of the iconic buildings of

Vietnam.

constitutes a rare example of well-preserved traditional Vietnamese architecture, set in a

Cyclo riding to old Quarter “Cyclo” (Vietnamese Pedicab), is a popular means of local transport. A cyclo ride is an excellent

way to experience Hanoi at close hand, experiencing the lively, hectic and sociable ambiance of

the city. Your driver will pedal you off, behind your guide, into narrow streets of the Old Quarter.

Water Puppet Show The art of Puppetry is deeply rooted into Vietnamese culture. Water puppetry dates back as far as 11th century. This show at the Thang Long Theatre is performed by one of the well-known puppet performance troops in Vietnam. The remaining time/evening at leisure with dinner at own expenses

Halong Bay

Halong Bay is one of Vietnam’s most spectacular sights. About three thousand extraordinary

shaped cliffs, arches, and islands rise from the emerald blue sea.

‘Halong’ means ‘where the dragon descends into the sea,’ and the countless, ancient myths

surrounding this phenomenal place give it a magical atmosphere! A beautifully resorted

traditional Vietnamese Junk Boat is the perfect way to explore the delights of Halong Bay.

Surprise Cave

During the cruise trip we will visit the Surprise cave. This large cave was discovered in 1901,

and used by Viet Cong as a hide-out during the war with the United States. We will see all kinds

of shapes and sizes of wondrous oddly shaped stalagmites.
