NEW! Math Enrichment through games(Ages 7 and up)Math tends to be a joke in our culture and our children’s math ability, or lack therein, reflects this attitude. We need to change their perception for math is an essential skill for our children. By playing games, students will further develop their ability to analyze information, to strategize, to pre-dict outcomes, to use numbers and con-cepts to solve problems, while strength-ening their basic math facts. Every day will be different so students may attend when they can. We will work as a class, in pairs, small groups and independently. All activities and games are in alignment with the Common Core.120141-01 Tu 1/7-4/8 3:30-5:30P 120141-02 W 1/8-4/9 3:30-5:30P Location: Community CenterFee: $159/$154 with CP resident discount Instructor: Cathy Hively

Math classesChildren use their brains rather than their fingers to learn the math factsThe math facts are the foundation for most all future math skills.Children can learn the math facts the efficient way and stop relying on counting. The senses of sight, hearing, and touch plus rhythm and rhyme are used to help create associations to the addition, sub-traction, and multiplication facts. Your child will learn the concept and memo-rization of the math facts. Your child will bring home a certificate of completion & a binder with activities for reinforcement at home. With a maximum of 8 students per class, all students will have individualized attention. Please bring a $45 materials fee, payable to Ways That Work, on the first day of class.
