U N I T E D S T A T E S A I R F O R C E CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT ROBERT D. WOODIN Chief Master Sergeant Woodin is the Commandant of the Forrest L. Vosler Noncommissioned Officer Academy, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. He is directly responsible for the daily operations and leadership of 21 faculty members. Chief Woodin provides leadership to the faculty, support staff, and students across the global Air Force Enterprise including every Air Force Major Command and Combatant Commands. He prepares the instructor staff through in-service training, formulates academic policy, and implements higher headquarters policies and procedures. He counsels and evaluates over 784 students annually while conferring their diploma on behalf of Air University. He plans, directs, and hosts 7 graduation events each year for over 2100 guests. Chief Woodin grew up in Ft. Wayne Indiana, and graduated from Paul Harding High School in June 1985. He enlisted in the Ft. Wayne Air National Guard in March 1986 and graduated from the Aircraft Fuel Systems Course, Chanute AFB, IL in Mar 1987 where began his Air Force career as an F-4 Fuel Systems Apprentice. He entered active duty in August 1988. Chief Woodin’s assignments include special duties as a Military Training Instructor, Enlisted Aide and First Sergeant. He has also performed duties at installations in Illinois, Texas, Colorado, Louisiana, Hawaii, Idaho, Oklahoma and Alaska to include a tour served overseas in the Republic of Korea and deployments in Oman, Iraq and Qatar in support of Operations ENDURING and IRAQI FREEDOM.
