Pygmalian is a fantastic artist. He can sculpt anything and people have difficulty in believing that was not real.

However, Pygmalian had a flaw. He assumed that all female did not have morals. So, he decided to sculpt the perfect woman out of ivory. Her only feature would be her extreme beauty.

He admired what he had done, and eventually fell in love. He named the statue, Galatea, which means “milk- white”.

Then, Pygmalian decided to pray to the goddess of love for a wife like Galatea. Aphrodite understood what he wanted and decided to grant his wish.

Aphrodite sent his son, Eros. Eros’s magic filled Galatea with life. As a result, she became a human.Pygmalian placed a ring on Galatae’s finger and they got married. And they lived happily ever after.
