Celebration of Dhanwantri Jayanti as National Ayurveda Day at ESIC Model Hospital, Gurgaon.

DHANWANTRI JAYANTI AS NATIONAL AYURVEDA DAY was celebrated at ESIC Model Hospital, Gurgaon on 28th Oct 2016 with great Zeal and enthusiasm. The event was organized by Ayurvedic Department.On this occasion, employees of the hospital actively participated in several activities under the supervision and support of Medical Superintendent and Ayurvedic Physician of the Hospital. Following are the highlights of the above mentioned:

1. Plantation of medicinal plants (Parijaat and Ajwaain) and Inaugration of the herbal garden by Medical Suprintendent ESICM Hospital Gurgaon.

2.Exhibition on medicinal benefits of herbal plants in form of posters and brochers.Display of raw drugs useful for the treatment of Madhumeha(Diabetes)

3.Hospital staff, IP’s and their family members were addressed by the Medical Superintendent and Ayurvedic Physician (Dr. Anju Dahiya) regarding the benefits of Ayurveda.

4.A session Prevention and Control of Diabetes (theme of the day) was presented by the Dietician(Mrs. Manvi ). A brief description of DO’s and DON’t in lifestyle and deit for the management of diabetes was given.

Conclusion: DHANWANTRI JAYANTI AS NATIONAL AYURVEDA DAY was successfully celebrated at ESIC Model Hospital, Gurgaon with active participation and enthusiasm of all the employees and supervision of Medical Superintendent with support of admin staff and Ayurvedic Deparment.
