harrogateanimalspeopleplanet@gmail.comWhat is this?This questionnaire is designed to help us (HAPPI – a volunteer run, Harrogate-based community group) create a website and free leaflet (to go in tourist information etc.) in time for the Tour de Yorkshire (they will be in permanent use and regularly updated) for people seeking vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options in Harrogate. The website will be widely promoted on social media and will appear in search engines; for example, if someone Googles ‘eat vegetarian in Harrogate’, our website, featuring your establishment, will appear. In return for a few moments of your time, we give you free promotion! And please don’t forget, the more boxes you are able to ‘tick’, the more you will be promoted on the website and the broader your customer base will be! Please answer the questions either as a word doc, emailing it back to us, or if you prefer, print it out and answer by hand, and we will call in to pick it up.

Explanation: To simply feature on the website, you must be able to provide at least one vegan, vegetarian or gluten-free option (this can be something as little as supplying soya milk as an alternative to dairy). However, if you are able to state that at least one meal on your menu (or as a daily special) is vegan, vegetarian or gluten-free (this could be a salad, for example), then we can give you a special promotional feature on the website in the corresponding category (if you are a shop, this applies if any of the items that you sell are one of the above). This means that people will see your establishment first on the website.

Question 10If you aren’t currently in a position to feature on the website, or as a special feature, but would like to be (e.g you might already have vegetarian options, but would like to be classed as vegan friendly too), we can help! We can provide recipes and support – and all for free! Why? Because we live in Harrogate and need more places with these options available!
