General information of Phetchaburi Province Phetchaburi is one of the western or central provinces (changwat) of Thailand. Neighboring provinces are (from north clockwise) Ratchaburi, Samut Songkhram, and Prachuap Khiri Khan. In the west it borders Tanintharyi Division of Myanmar. Phetchaburi is an old royal city, dating back to the Mon of the 8th century. Later Khmer settled in the city, as can be seen by the prangs of Wat Kamphaeng Laeng. Total area = 6,225.1 km2 (2,403.5 sq mi); total population (2014) = 474,192; density = 76/km2 (200/sq mi) The province is divided into eight districts (amphoe), which are further subdivided into 93 communes (tambon) and 681 villages (muban). The eight districts (amphoe) are 1. Mueang Phetchaburi, 2. Khao Yoi, 3. Nong Ya Plong, 4. Cha-am, 5. Tha Yang, 6. Ban Lat, 7. Ban Laem, and 8. Kaeng Krachan.

General information of Phetchaburi Province

General information of Nong Ya Plong District

Nong Ya Plong is the district (Amphoe) in the northwestern part of Phetchaburi Province, western Thailand. Neighboring districts are (from the north clockwise) Ban Kha and Pak Tho of Ratchaburi Province, Khao Yoi, Ban Lat and Kaeng Krachan of Phetchaburi Province. To the west is Tanintharyi Division of Myanmar.

The district is subdivided into 4 subdistricts (tambon), which are further subdivided into 31 villages (muban). There are 3 Subdistrict administrative organizations (SAO), 1 community hospital, and 8 Subdistrict health promoting hospitals (health centers). The 4 subdistricts are Nong Ya Plong (11 villages), Yang Nam Klat Nuea (5 villages), Yang Nam Klat Tai (7 villages), and Tha Takhro (8 villages).

Total population = 15,652; Total households = 4,909

Nong Ya Plong Subdistrict

The Subdistrict is subdivided into 11 villages (muban). There are 6,857 population and 3,138 households.

Ban Koke Wat Moo 9 (village for community study)

There are 375 population and 108 households. The area is mostly flat, suitable for agriculture. Main occupation are laborer, farming, and fruit growing. Most of them are Buddhists. There are an elementary school and a temple. Social groups, capital and asset in the village are VHV (village health volunteer) club, housewife group, farmers group, volunteers of the civil defense, village fund, saving fund, health insurance fund, Subdistrict Health Promotion Hospital fund, cremation fund.
