EDINBURGH UNIVERSITY SWIMMING AND WATER POLOSAFETY POLICY

(1) Edinburgh University Swimming and Water Polo Club (EUSWPC) must be affiliated with the Scottish Amateur Swimming Association (S.A.S.A. (National Governing Body)

(2) All members of EUSWPC must be registered with S.A.S.A.

(3) EUSWPC will abide by the health and safety policies outlined by S.A.S.A.

(4) As part of a member's registration EUSWPC will make members aware that:

(a) the Safety Policy forms an integral part of his/her membership;

(b) breaching of any part of the Safety Policy will deem him/her not to be a member of the Club and that such action is being taken at his/her own risk;

(d) any reports of breaking the Safety Policy will result in disciplinary action.

(5) EUSWPC will ensure that all activities for which it is required, a completed Trip Registration form will be submitted within 48 hours prior to the trip's departure.

(6) EUSWPC will ensure that a suitably qualified person(s) must accompany all trips.

(7) EUSWPC will ensure that a suitable First Aid provision must be made for all trips.
