Today’s bulletin is dedicated by Audrey Heward and family in loving memory of Lorne who died March 19, 2017.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:“To live in this world, you must be able to do three things: to

love what is mortal; to hold it against your bones knowing your own life depends on it; and, when the time comes to let it go, to

let it go.” ~ Mary Oliver, "In Blackwater Woods"

PRELUDE: Irish Medley

WE APPROACH GOD

*♪OPENING HYMN: This Day God Gives Me (VU 410)

WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS CALL TO WORSHIP: Kaydence EinarsonWe are moving—in Lent, in Life—toward the time of letting go.When the grain of wheat falls into the ground. We fear the releasing, the falling, the losing. We don’t want to think about it.And yet in the soil, there is a mystery:Life lost, and kept for Eternity. We are moving—in Lent, in Life—toward the time of letting go.Let ‘s explore the mystery of life, loss, and love, together.

JUNIOR CHOIR INTROIT: “Jesus Love Even Me”

PRAYER OF CONFESSION: (With moments for personal reflection)In our hearts this day, O God, we bring to you the ways in which we miss the mark.We remember the times when we did not try at all…We remember the times when we tried to get it right, but our hearts were not in it…We remember the times when we really did try to get it all right, but later we discovered that we had it all wrong…We remember the times when we did the exact opposite of what you were calling us to do…Forgive us, God. Heal us. Re-orient us once again to the way of letting go, to the way of dying into life, to the way of Jesus. Amen.

♫SUNG RESPONSE: “Meditation” (Arr. Mark Patterson)1.May the words of my mouth and the hopes of my heart be pleasing, dear Lord, to You.May the works of my hands and the ways of my life be pleasing, dear Lord, to You.Teach me, dear Lord, to trust You each day and help me show others Your love. 2.
