This month in Reading/Language Arts: For the month of May, we will take the Terra Nova test. We will also wrap up the year by reviewing reading strategies covered throughout the year, like figurative language, author’s purpose, making inferences etc. Assessment: Study Island assignments and various quizzes/tests/assignments will be graded throughout the month. In Spelling: Students will practice the words at home in preparation for end of the week tests. Test Dates and Lessons: May 5- L28 May 12- L29 May 19 - L30 This month in Math: For the month of May, we will take the Terra Nova test. We will also wrap up the year by reviewing Math topics covered throughout the year, like solving long division and multi-digit subtraction and multiplication problems, as well as multistep word problems, and understanding decimals. PLEASE continue to review multiplication facts at home. This week in Social Studies/Science: We will practice reading strategies with Science and Social Studies topics.
