Lightsview recognised as Australia’s best address.

The 2014 National Awards for Excellence

saw Lightsview take out the prestigious

titles of Masterplanned Development

Award as well as the President’s Award, a

title that is recognised as the “best of the

best” of the national award winners. And

just to put it all into perspective, there

were 40 finalists from hundreds of entries.

And the best was Lightsview.

Lightsview’s easily navigable and safe

linkages for walking and cycling, range

of neighbourhood parks and innovative

affordable housing were praised by the

national judging panel.

The Urban Development Institute of Australia recognised Lightsview as the nation’s best address when it crowned the project as the winner of two prestigious categories at its annual awards ceremony.

NEWS

The Urban Development Institute of

Australia (UDIA) is Australia’s peak

representative body for all segments of

the urban development industry. Each

year their National Awards for Excellence

celebrate Australia’s contemporary

knowledge, skills and innovation in the

urban development industry. UDIA (SA)

Executive Director Terry Walsh believed

the calibre of entrants this year was

absolutely exceptional.

“To win the President’s Award among such

a high-calibre list of national winners

is a significant achievement for a South

Australian development,” Mr Walsh said.

“This proves a high quality, desirable and

affordable range of housing solutions will

always find market appeal when delivered

exceptionally well.”

These awards are not only great for all

those involved with the development

of the Lightsview community but also

for current and future homebuyers.

The satisfaction to live in such an

awarded development is pleasing, while

new homebuyers can purchase with

confidence knowing that Lightsview

is leading the market in developing

well-planned, high quality and safe

communities.

Terrace 344 now available

Inspired by contemporary European

living, the Terrace 344 is a balanced

expression of modern design innovations

that take traditional terrace living to new

heights. A full-height light well, with a

ground floor courtyard and two balconies,

embraces a light and open feel that is

complemented by an overall clever use

of space.

These fixed-price architecturally designed

homes present outstanding value and

have generous standard specification.

Each Torrens titled home includes

three bedrooms, two living rooms and

three bathrooms set over three levels.

With the release of the Terrace 344 there

is now an entirely new turn-key solution

for those wanting to call Lightsview home

without the added challenge of designing

a custom residence.

The Terrace 344 is now for sale for $379,950.

See the property guide for details.

Unbelievable land options from $135,000Entry into the housing market is more affordable than ever at Lightsview, with land available from only $135,000.Prices such as these are rarely seen in

suburbs as close to the city as Lightsview

– a suburb just 8km from the CBD.

This latest land offering adds to an

already diverse range of options to build

your dream home, and compared to

nearby suburbs it comes at a price that

is hard to ignore. Nearby suburbs boast

median house prices like: North Adelaide

$897k, Prospect $546k, Adelaide $519k,

and Brompton $482k, yet Lightsview, just

8km from the city, has an unprecedented

offering to start your dream home with

land from $135,000.

Lightsview’s wide range of land options

includes everything from the compact to

the grand, with highly desirable reserve

and water-frontage allotments adding to

the mix.

With something for just about every

budget and lifestyle, a ‘blank canvas’ is

available for you to plan and build a home

that meets your personalised needs in an

environment where fresh design and new

ideas are welcome.

Lightsview’s own house and land packages

are also available. Choose from an

impressive range of fixed-price ‘turn-key’

homes priced from under $300,000. That’s

incredible value so close to the city.

See the property guide on page 9 for plenty of

options to make calling Lightsview ‘home’ so easy.

The newly-released Terrace 344 brings low-maintenance, cool urban living to the Adelaide property market as it joins Lightsview’s already wide range of loft and terrace homes.

Buoyed by the success of the Waterford

Precinct, Lightsview is once again set to

meld function and desirable form with

plans for more lake-frontage living.

“Living next to water has always been

popular and this is a feature that

the project team has worked hard to

deliver,” says Peter Gatsios, Lightsview

Development Manager.

With a range of land and housing

options available, along with the planned

inclusion of food venues and cafés, the

precinct will act as a social hub for the

project. Ultimately it will provide another

unique aspect to the already diverse city-

fringe location.

Lightsview’s ornamental lakes provide

much more to the communities recreation

spaces; they are part of an impressive

storm water treatment process that

includes storage and wetland cleansing.

“We take seriously a commitment

to ensure that storm water leaving

Lightsview is as clean as possible for the

benefit of the environment,” says Peter.

Construction of the new lake will

commence in early 2015 and already

land releases in this precinct have been

popular with future residents.

“The lake is part of a larger addition to our

integrated reserve network, each section

of which has its own personality and

features,” says Peter. “This portion will

include some innovative multi-sport play

spaces we are pioneering and think they’ll

be a valued feature for the community.”

Adding to the diverse range of housing

options is the all-new Lightsview

Apartment. It’s yet another ground

breaking housing option to complement

the already diverse mix of housing that

Lightsview is renowned for.

Offering perhaps the lowest maintenance

lifestyle, and boasting outstanding

security and convenience, a Lightsview

Apartment is another desirable option to

rival some of our already highly popular

terrace product.

Priced from only $305,000, a Lightsview

Apartment offers inner city style for a

fraction of the price.

Generously sized at around 85sqm each,

a Lightsview Apartment comprises two

large bedrooms with built-in robes,

a fantastic open-planned kitchen/

meals/lounge room and well appointed

bathroom.

Each Lightsview Apartment also includes

a private balcony for levels 1 – 3, or at

ground level the two ‘garden apartments’

have reserve frontage and additional

courtyard space to enjoy with family

and friends.

Celebrating the inaugural release in

August, a Lightsview Apartment will

make a comfortable home or savvy

investment for those who act quickly.

It is hoped that more Lightsview

Apartments will be available in Lightsview.

Marquis display home opens

The namesake and head of the company,

Scott Salisbury, wants the Marquis and

its slightly less luxurious neighbour the

Mosman, to be designs that raise public

perception.

“We built these display homes to show the

public what we can do,” says Scott. “We

keep an eye on all facets of design and try

to introduce as many new ideas as we can

into our homes.”

The company’s attention to modern

design and innovative features are

attributes that are commonly shared

with the development.

“Lightsview are doing exactly the same.

We’re well aligned in innovative areas –

they’re trying new things to get the best

outcomes for their customers and we do

that too” says Scott.

Built as part of the Waterford Display

Village, these stunning homes are

bringing waterfront living to an award

winning city-fringe address.

Designed for a 15m-wide Premium

Allotment, the Marquis exudes quality and

style throughout. It’s a home that excels

in the finest of details; from sun-soaked

rooms to high ceilings that add a sense of

volume and space to each living area.

The design successfully addresses the

challenge of its dual-frontages; one that

faces Waterford Circuit and the other that

fronts Waterford Lake.

A feature is the incredible master

bedroom suite that boasts proportions

akin to a luxury resort. Expansive

picture windows of the display capture

panoramic views of the lake, and to the

east glimpses of the Adelaide Hills.

Scott Salisbury Homes’ impressive

specification as displayed is something to

admire. Other specifications are available

that really put this impressive home in the

reach of many.

The Marquis opens to coincide with its

close neighbour, also constructed by

Scott Salisbury Homes, built for the

Hospital Home Lottery. Both homes

can be viewed on Monday, Wednesday,

Saturday and Sunday between 1.00pm

and 4.30pm. And while there, why not

view equally impressive displays from

Medallion Homes and Metricon?

Lightsview and Rendition Homes have partnered to launch the Rendition Cancer Research Home, which will be sold to raise funds for cancer prevention at the Flinders Medical Centre.

Prevention is often easier than the cure,

and a new initiative by Lightsview and

Rendition Homes hopes to assist Flinders

Medical Centre Foundation fund important

programmes and investigations to save

possibly thousands of people from the

distress of dealing with a cancer diagnosis.

The Rendition Cancer Research Home is

a charity home campaign that aims to

raise in excess of $100,000 annually for

Flinders Medical Centre Foundation’s

important cancer prevention work.

The annual promotion will see one of

Lightsview’s popular Terrace 344 three-

bedroom homes sold with part-proceeds

supporting Flinders.

“We are thrilled to be able to support a

great South Australian institution such as

the Flinders Medical Centre Foundation”

said Alan Miller, Lightsview Project

Director. “Their work is world class and

Lightsview and Rendition are proud to

partner on this new initiative.”

The Terrace 344 is a new house and

land package and in the first year of the

initiative the home will be sold off-plan.

In subsequent years however it is planned

to showcase a completed home prior to

its sale.

Rendition Homes Managing Director,

Wayne Fazzalari, said that it meant a

lot for Rendition Homes to be so closely

associated with an initiative such as this.

“We are proud of our partnership with

Lightsview and know that being directly

involved will produce a better outcome

for Flinders. We are targeting a $100,000

donation for each year of the promotion

but hope we can exceed that.”

Lifestyle at lofty new heights

Both internationally and locally there

is a shift from maintaining a big home

and land to enjoying a more compact

comfortable lifestyle – it’s from this

transition that Loft 38 draws its

inspiration.

Using international design techniques,

the Loft 38 terrace home at Lightsview

is an example of a big space built into a

small home.

With high ceilings, a dramatic full length

loft roof line, large picture windows, a

private rear courtyard and rear carport,

it has all the benefits of a full size home

with only loft-sized maintenance needs.

The home can be configured as a one or

two-bedroom home and has a spacious

open-plan kitchen, dining and family

room. The genius of the design lies in

the high ceilings and stunning master

bedroom loft. And with a fixed-price

package and 25-year structural guarantee,

the Loft 38 is not only stylish, but practical.
