Songs/ Pictures During this invitation, I’d like to invite you to listen/watch the songs on YouTube and also look at the pictures. While watching think about these questions: 1. What is the message in the song? 2. Which point of view does the song have? 3. Does the song try to position you? 4. What did you learn from the music? 5. How did the pictures make you feel? 2. What view of immigration do they represent? 3. Do they try to position you? 4. Why did I have you look at these pictures and videos? 5. Does this connect to anything at school/ in the community? After reflecting on those questions and discussing it with the group…. *Individually or in a group create a WORDLE, draw a picture, write your own song/ poem, or write a small paragraph that describes the ideas in the songs or your own personal feelings about the songs. Also, if you would like to search the internet for another song which you feel could accurately describe immigration or your opinions on it.
