Remember that the Breeze-way/Stairwell policy has been updated and will be in effect beginning Sept. 8. To keep your property from being re-
moved, please make sure that you keep toys, bikes, and household items off of the
breezeways.
For those of you who are new to UGA, learning the bus system can be tricky. Two main cam-pus buses serve the Family and Graduate Housing community– Family Housing and North South.
The Family Housing bus route begins at Building "S" at 7:00 a.m. and the Arch at 7:19 a.m. Buses continue to depart every 15 minutes until 6:45 p.m. from Building "S" at which time night service begins. Night Service buses depart Building "S" every twenty minutes from 7:10 p.m. until 12:10 a.m. and include Riverbend Parkway on their route.

Game day Parking/Travel
Because the population of Ath-ens nearly doubles on football game days, driving around campus and Athens can be difficult. Try to minimize travel on these days; if you need to use your car, however, be aware of game times. It will be difficult to leave campus as game time approaches, and can be very difficult to get back on campus after half-time.
For parking maps and other info, visit
www.parking.uga.edu
Join us on Saturday, September 18th for a Georgia vs. Ar-kansas tailgate party in the community room! Kick-off is at 12pm noon. We’ll hang out, cook some burgers and hot dogs, watch the game, and even have some games to play if American Foot-ball isn’t your sport of choice! Come and cele-brate being a Georgia Bull-dog by taking part in this UGA tradition. Come for a little while or stay for the whole time; we’re just looking forward to seeing you there!

Jamie Wilkes 8/31/10
Maintenance Supervisor
The maintenance crew completed 508 work orders between 7/28/10 and 8/28/10
N-building renovation is 99.9% complete. We will start painting the hand rails soon so watch for wet paint signs. That black paint will not come out of your clothes.
P-building demolition is complete and the asbestos abatement is almost complete. The Physical Plant guys will start next week on the renovations.
We have installed all new appliances in H-building.
We have had a busy summer. We turned over 250 apartments and several large pro-jects.
When you use the laundries and you have trouble with a machine please e-mail or call in a work order, just as you would with your apartment. We need to know which laundry and which machine is not working.
Please do not tamper with the smoke detectors in your apartment. This is the first warning that you will get in case there is a fire in your apartment. If you disable the head and there is a fire not only are you endangering yourself but everyone in your building. Call the F&GH office during the day and the Resident Manager on duty at night to silence the head if you acciden-tally set it off while cooking.
Pest Control: Cannon Pest Control comes to Family Housing every Wednesday to treat apartments. Please have your work orders in before Wednesdays of each week or you will have to wait until the following week.
*** Pest Control personnel have told me that roaches and other pest hate clean cool apartments. To keep pest down remove your trash daily and keep your food such as cereal, rice, breads in seal-able containers. Wipe down your ranges and counter tops after cooking.
