INTRODUCTIONThe condition of Awan village is good as compare to nearby villages. Mostly the villagers are poor peoples. Their basic income dependents basically on

Farming and Nariga work .Their Road are of very good in condition.

There is no good medical facility, only one CHC in the village & there is no proper treatment for sewer problems. There is no proper and advance

Education system. The most of the people who live in Awan are illiterate but hard worker. These people generally are suffering from huge unemployment because of non economical activities and other wasteful habit. There is also

sewage problem which create trash specially in rainy season. There is No water tanks for Rainwater storage. Most of the time there is electricity cut in the

village. 3 face electricity is only available 3 to 4 hours & 1 face electricity is only available 7 to 8 hours.

Awan is a Village in Sangod Tehsil in Kota District of Rajasthan State, India. It belongs to Kota Division. It is located 43 KM towards South from District head quarters Kota. 21 KM from Sangod. 259 KM from State capital Jaipur.

• Mainly the people of Awan are Hindu and belong to Rajasthani culture. Awan being a part of Rajasthan state, the language used in village is hadoti and they celebrate all festival of Hindu religion. There is no other religion expect Hindu in Awan. They also fate almost all traditional Rajasthani festivals Like gangaur, Teej, gogaji, Pushkar, etc,..

• The people of Awan own the pride of not only enriching the culture of Rajasthan but also the entire culture of India. The cultural heritage of the rajasthani’s is influenced by various features like its folk music and dances.

• TRADITIONS• The customs and traditions followed by the people of Awan are

those the pertains to the Vedic and rituals. The people of Awan strictly adhere to these traditional customs which is very essential to every man and woman of Rajasthan.

• The women wear long flowing cotton ’ghagras”(skirts)made from up to 10m of cloth in dazzling colors ,highlighted by sparkling gold and silver “gota”or “Zari” that offset the dull, barren landscape .They love to wear chunky silver jewellery.

• The men’s are tall and handsome and usually sport long, twirled moustaches and often beard. They wear colorful turbans (worn in different styles, denoting caste and region), often made of the tie-and-dye fabric that is a specialty of the region.

Rajasthan and the most widely grown crops includes Rice ,wheat , bajra, Soya beans, jowar and some pulses.

• No Airports Facility. However sanganeer Airport is major Airport 236 KM near to Awan.
