From the humble beginnings of our pioneering 1975 planting to today, we’ve grown cabernet sauvignon on Red Mountain longer than anyone. The backbone of the wine is cabernet sauvignon from our Kiona Estate Vineyard North Block, a stalwart contributor for quality Red Mountain cabernet sauvignon for decades. This authoritative wine shows why Red Mountain has a reputation as a powerhouse Cabernet Sauvignon producer capable of going toe-to-toe with the world’s best. Fine grain tannin, great fruit, and dark color abound. High-end components our estate Heart of the Hill vineyard add depth, complexity, and layered intrigue. This wine is a culmination of our multigenerational tradition. VINTAGE NOTES STATISTICS The 2016 vintage started early, with temperatures in the triple digits in May. The summer was pretty typical; lots of ripening ability and absent of precipitation. Although harvest started early, temperatures cooled nicely in late summer, extending harvest and allowing for great flavor development. 2016 ESTATE RED MOUNTAIN CABERNET SAUVIGNON

In 1975 our family planted the first vineyard on Red Mountain, an area now known for producing some of the world’s most powerful, opulent wines of distinction. For three generations we’ve worked side by side, hand in hand to craft exciting, vineyard-driven wines that capture the essence of Red Mountain.

Cabernet is king on Red Mountain.
