VIOLIN Students should be prepared to perform all major scales 3 octaves with no arpeggios. All scales

must be memorized. Each scale tone should be equal to at least 90 beats per minute on a metronome.

PERCUSSIONAll percussion audition candidates must pick a solo of their choice on EITHER a mallet keyboard instrument, snare drum or timpani, showing your best abilities. Sight reading will also be tested on your chosen instrument. Please bring two copies of your solo for the judges.

In addition, each percussionist is REQUIRED to perform each of the following on their choice of two of the three instruments listed below:

Snare Drum:Rudimental Roll, Orchestral Roll, Flams, Paradiddles.

Mallet Instruments:2 Octave Major Scales and Apreggios: C, F, Bb, G, D. Plus, Chromatic Scale, 2 Octaves.

Timpani:Long Roll, ppp to fff. Ability to tune will also be tested. Please bring pitch pipe.

$15 audition fee, $10 for each additional sibling.
