Hymns & Bible Trivia with Ray & Candi
Today Ray will take us on a spiritual journey through her favorite hymns and spiritual songs. There will also be a short time for trivia, all about the Bible and the multitude of events that occurred in the Bible. Let us rise and shine!

Stretch & Strengthen with Jose & Jada
Jose will be leading us in exercise to stimulate your muscles. We will be building onto your muscles to keep you healthy and strong. You can do these exercises seated or standing, so choose what is safest for your loved one. **You will need enough room to move side to side, forward and back, seated and or standing.

1. Miles Davis and Friends with Kaneisha
Celebrate Miles Davis’ birth anniversary with us today. We will explore his life, musical hits, and the artists he influenced. 2. Country Crooning with Jada Country music to sing along to. We will look at the biggest country hits of the 20th century. If that was not enough, we will visit the hits of crooners like Bob Hope and Frank Sinatra.

1. National Senior Health & Fitness Day with Jose & Pam
Join us for a time of exercise and fitness to start off your morning. We will join Jose and Pam for exercise that will have seated and standing parts. Let’s move it before we lose it!
2. Chronicle’s Current Events with Jada and Ray
Grab a cup of coffee, tea, or juice and join us to discuss current events and hot topics in the morning paper. We will take a look at what all is going on in the world and how we feel about it.

In this activity we will have a creative writing program. We will provide you with a topic to write about. After an opportunity to write our stories we will share what we wrote about.

Come and join David as he leads us in his classic exercise routine that he has been perfecting for 20 years at Amazing Place. This exercise is meant to be done seated and is for everyone.

MUSIC, MUSIC, MUSIC! Today we will look back at the most recognizable songs of all time. Come ready to dance, sing, and enjoy some of the best music hits of all-time.

Live Music with Brandt Henley
Brandt Henley will join us for an acoustic performance this Wednesday! Brandt began playing Gospel and Worship music in church as a child and is still playing 15 years later. He plays a mixture of country, folk, blues and rock music. When he isn't playing music, he's busy being a Social Studies teacher at Richard Milburn Academy as well as a part-time Youth and Young Adult Director at West University United Methodist.

Thursday, May 28th (Everyone is Invited)

Rhythmic Exercise with Nancy & Kaneisha
Amazing Place’s wonderful volunteer Nancy will be leading us in exercise to the beat of music. You will need something to beat together, like two sticks, spoons, or whatever you can find to make noise. All the exercises you can do from your chair at home. Just make sure you have enough room to kick your feet and have a good time.

Bible Study & Sing Along with Jada and Casey
Join us for a program to promote your spirituality. Amazing Place Bible Study volunteers will join us for a short devotional and a time of worship and praise. We will pray, sing hymns, enjoy a devotional, sing more hymns, and pray.

Nurse’s Knowledge with Amazing Place Nurses
Join one or more of our Registered Nurses as they teach us how to be healthier and safer. We will discuss and learn about topics relevant to seniors and aging. There will be a Q & A at the end of the program.

Una variedad de diferente temas que incluyen historias de vida, juegos, comida, música, danzas y cultura. A variety of different themes including life stories, games, food, music, dance, and culture.

1. Opinionated Friday’s with Kaneisha and Tom
U of H’s own Tom Oldham will join us to explore court cases and tough decisions that judges must make. Tom has been a faculty member and law professor at U of H for almost 40 years. Please come share your opinion with us!
2. Facebook Games with Pam and Candi
Join us to exercise your brain as we explore a multitude of games offered by Facebook. These games include, but are not limited to; trivia, Logo Quiz, Who am I?, Crosswords, 4 pics 1 word and a lot more. Let’s exercise our brains together.
3. Traveling the World with Jada and Jose
In this program we will look at photos from around the world and discuss the different places you have been. Be prepared to see the many wonders of the world as you travel the world through photographs.

Today, Michael will talk about his two biggest passions: food and cycling. He will give us a tour of famous pasta dishes and Italy's three-week race.

Jose will be leading us in exercise to stimulate your muscles in a slow and deliberate way. We will use our breathing to help facilitate stronger control of our muscles. You can do these exercises seated or standing, so choose what is safest for your loved one.

Swinging to the Oldies Day with Jada
Bandleader "King of Swing" Benny Goodman (1909–1986) was born on this day. He was a jazz clarinetist and considered a jazz icon of his day. Join us to listen to classic tunes by Benny Goodman and others.

Together we will discuss all things June. Using a June Newsletter, word search, poem, IQ test and more to bring back memories of school being out and summer starting.
2. Mind Matters with Kaneisha and Candi
Today we will explore different brain games. In Mind Matters we look to exercise different areas of the brain including; memory, language, executive functioning, and visual spatial skills.
3. Name 5 with Pam
We will explore a variety of topics and categories. Do you know five movie stars, five purple foods, five ways to have fun? Come exercise your mind with Name 5.

Today we will join Jose for a seated exercise program. This is a low-impact program that can be done in your home. We recommend you have enough space to put your arms out and move your feet side to side, in your chair.

We give you a real-life situation and want to know what you would do in that person’s shoes. No opinion is wrong. Come tell us what you would do in these fun and exciting scenarios.
3. Laughing Away Wednesday with Jada and Jose
Today we will share jokes and funny stories to laugh away the morning. Laughing helps to improve our health and positivity. Come and join us as we laugh together! Knock Knock!

Donut Day was established to raise funds for the Great Depression and to honor the work of WWI Salvation Army Doughnut Girls. Order some donuts and join us!
2. World Environment Day with Pam and Jose
The United Nations sponsors World Environment Day. We will discuss ways to get involved while at home. We will also discuss Climate Change, Recycling, Clean Energy, and more.
3. Spelling Bee Challenge with Jada and Candi
If you like words or word games, this is for you! We will use previous words from the Scribbs National Spelling Bee to challenge our language skills. Words are fun, so come have some fun as we exercise our minds.
