Plan for Inclusion Students The inclusion teacher will provide the IEP to the online teacher. The inclusion teacher will assist the online teacher with differentiating Reading, Language Arts and Math during planning. They will be available during their office hours to meet with students and parents virtually to discuss student’s learning.

Plan for RTI All interventions are online and will be monitored closely. All interventions are mandatory and must be completed in addition to regular classroom assignments. Interventions must be completed Monday-Friday as prescribed by the classroom teacher and RTI team.

The teacher will designate additional lessons, assign additional activities, and/or determine additional minutes needed for reading and/or math interventions. Interventions will be assigned from iReady, and Moby Max based on results from the iReady Diagnostic test.

The parent will receive detailed instructions on how to assist their child. The parent should be certain the details of the plan are implemented as prescribed. Parents will receive updated details regarding interventions after each monthly RTI meeting.

The student will complete interventions each day. The time spent online for interventions will be recorded each day. Student academic progress for online lessons will be recorded each day.

The teacher will check and document the student’s practice time each day. The teacher will record progress monitoring at least once per week. The teacher will monitor weekly progress and provide instructional support to selected students each week by differentiating assignments and/or through individualized videos, etc. The teacher will discuss student progress with the RTI team monthly and adjust interventions accordingly.

PBIS Plan for Virtual Learning

Vision

H.M. Nailor Elementary seeks to develop well-rounded and responsible students who aspire to achieve their full potential academically and

socially and become independent life-long learners.

Mission

We are committed to molding life-long learners through collaboration, differentiation, and high expectations.

All students attending H.M. Nailor, whether traditional or virtual, are expected to

uphold the rules and display positive behavior. Because we take pride in positivity, we

want to be sure that all students are showing respect, safety, and responsibility at all

times. In doing so, students will be able to earn points remotely as well.

Positive Behavior Supports and Interventions  PBIS is not a curriculum, intervention or practice, but is a school-wide decision-making framework that guides selection, integration and implementation of the best evidence-based academic and behavioral practices for improving important academic and behavior outcomes for all students. As we move through this decision making framework, we create, adjust or integrate behavioral systems designed to support faculty/staff, students and families. Simply this decision-making framework is intended to teach appropriate behaviors and decrease inappropriate actions.   Tiger Points (formally known as Tiger Cash)  Tiger points are the foundational incentive of Nailor’s Positive Behavior Intervention Support. As a school, we give Tiger points for all positive behaviors, reinforcing demonstration of safety, respect, and responsibility for the process to work. The goal is to recognize students for behaviors.

Page 23: Virtual Learning Handbook

Tiger points are given using Class Dojo. In order to view your child’s Tiger points via Class Dojo, you must sign up to your child’s Class Dojo account.  Earn points for being Responsible by:

● Being prepared for class ● Silence background noise ● Dressed appropriately ● Logged in on time

Earn points for being Safe by:

● Using my device for school purposes ● Using technology appropriately

Earn points for being Respectful by:

● Listening to others when they are speaking ● Participating and responding appropriately

Online teachers will utilize the above point system to remotely give points.

Points can be used to earn rewards such as:

❖ Show and Tell via Zoom ❖ Talent Show via Zoom ❖ Special note from the Principal via USPS ❖ Coupons or vouchers from restaurants ❖ Recognition on the school's social media platforms

Discipline and Corrective Actions ● Upon the violation, the teacher will complete and submit a Student

Discipline Referral Form. This action will alert the H.M. Nailor Elementary Leadership Team and school principal.

● The administrative assistant or principal will notify the student, parent, and sponsor that the student has violated the code.

● Based on the report, the H.M. Nailor Elementary Leadership Team will determine what, if any, disciplinary action must be taken. A violation of the H.M. Nailor Elementary Student Code of Conduct will result in a disciplinary action and may result in corrective action as determined by the Cleveland School District 2020-2021 Student Handbook.

Note: Virtual school is governed by the school board and district behavior policies and violations will be met with the appropriate consequence as outlined in policy.
