I have attached the video as a separate file for you, so you can meet some of the key staff in our school.

The House System is designed to reflect and enhance the existing core values and ethos of the school. It is an integral part of Challney’sculture and vibrant community. It creates healthy competition, promotes good work and behaviour, encourages teamwork, and provides opportunities to take on responsibilities and brings everyone in the school together

In each year group, two form groups from each year group are part of a House. In July, you will find out which form and House you are in. Ties are £6 and will be available to buy from us at school when we return and you can also purchase these from Prestige clothing. Please wait until you know what House your child will be in.

Transition Passport Information

Some of the primary schools have kindly sent this to you daughter and I attached it for you in another email too.

This is what we would normally ask the students to do in May and they use it until December in High School.

Please encourage them to complete it and present it neatly. If they can do this electronically, that would be great. They will need this should we return to school in the summer term, but if not they will need it for September. We would be grateful for your support with this.

Other things to think about at this stage:

1. Talk to your child about high school and any anxieties or worries they might have.

2. Encourage independent learning and completion of the passport
