VISIBLE CHRISTIANITY

LEVITICUS 20:7"Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God."

How?

Page 3: Visible christianity

1 PETER 1:15-16"But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy

in all manner of conversation;""Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy."

To be holy is to have a holy conversationAll manner of conversation1 CORINTHIANS 15: 33 “Be not deceived: evil

communications corrupt good manners." Words, actions, expression

I. WordsMATTHEW 12:34 "O generation of vipers, how can

ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh."

PSALMS 50: 23 “Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God."

EPHESIANS 4: 29 "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers."

II.ActionsGALATIANS 1:13 “For ye have heard of my

conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:"

JAMES 3: 13 “Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom."

1 PETER 2:12 “Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation." Your conversation(s) will be replayed at the judgment.

1 PETER 3:1 “Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;"

JAMES 2: 24 “Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.“

HEBREWS 13: 5 “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."

What’s the difference in thinking wrong and saying or acting wrong?

PHILIPPIANS 3: 20 (18-19who mind earthly things)"For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look

for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:"• ECCLESIASTES 10: 20 "Curse not the king, no not in thy

thought; and curse not the rich in thy bedchamber: for a bird of the air shall carry the voice, and that which hath wings shall tell the matter."

o (‘birds of the air”=unclean spirits, or devils: Mat. 13:32,4,19, Mrk. 4:4, Jer. 5:27, Ezek. 31:13, Lk. 13:19, Rev. 18:2,Dan. 4)

o 2 CORINTHIANS 2:11 "Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices." Nor he of ours.

• 1 CORINTHIANS 11: 30 "For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep."

(10:16-17, 11:24) This is a public vow before God and man … God takes it very serious.

• ACTS 5: 4 "Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God."

• NUMBERS 14: 2 "And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!"

Page 9: Visible christianity

NUMBERS 14: 28-29 "Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:"

"Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward which have murmured against me."

NUMBERS 26: 65 "For the LORD had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun."

How do you do this? 3ways:What you put in your heart:MATTHEW 12:34 …out of the abundance of the heart the mouth

speaketh.

What to put in your head:

PHILIPPIANS 4: 8 "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."

PROVERBS 23: 7 "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…

Spiritual action to take2 TIMOTHY 1: 3 "I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers

with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;"

REVELATION 12: 10 "And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night."

REVELATION 20, 10 "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."

God will impress on you to pray for a person... do it like Paul. Your prayer will effect an action before the fact.

• The devil has to accuse, after the fact. (day/night vs night/day)

• Evolution is only available to a Christian. All others get entropy.
