Navalkha Commerce & Manoharseth Dhariwal Science College, Jamner. I congratulate you for
deciding to be a part of our family, having 44 years of experience in imparting quality education.

admission in this institution will definitely lead you towards a bright future. Thousands of our
past students got inspiration & power to shoulder the new challenges of the world. Our ex-
students have been doing well in various fields.This year the college is constructing, Indoor &
Outdoor Stadium with an estimated cost of Rs.1.2 Crore at newly acquired land in Palskhede
located at 3 kms. from the college. The stadium will be ready for the sports activities of the
students in this year.
Along with education you will be also offered an opportunity to participate in Sports, N.C.C.,
N.S.S., Cultural & Personal Development Programmes. These events will shape your alround
development.
College provides an ample scope for students to shine in both curricular, co-curricular
activities. College runs several activities for the encouragement of new students. There is
Alumni Association, Parents Association and Career Guidance and Placement Cell at College
Level to take care of your future. The Competitive Examination Guidance Cell supported by a
good Library facilities is being developed.
I am happy to announce that this year, we are introducing a PG Course ( M.Sc.) in
Mathematics and a UG Course (B.A. General) in Dramatics (Natyashashtra).

1.2COLLEGE
In the year 1971, the Jamner Taluka Education Society established Arts &
Commerce College & thereafter in the year 1989 Science faculty was added. The
college is affiliated to North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon permanently. It is a
unique institution in this Taluka, imparting instructions from Undergraduate to Post
Graduate courses including Professional courses. Following are the salient features
of the College.

Objectives of the college : 1) To impart quality based higher education.

2.0STUDENTS SUPPORT SERVICES :
2.1 COLLEGE BUILDING :- At present the College is being run in its own
building near Bus Stand, Jalgaon Road.
2.2 GIRLS‟ HOSTEL :- A well furnished and isolated hostel building with
adequate facilities is available in the campus for the girl students.The girl students are

exepected to take benefit of this facility for their educational upliftment. For the detailed
information, contact the Office Administation.
2.3 LABORATORIES :- Well equipped laboratories are available for Physics,
Chemistry, Botany,Zoology, Geography & Computer Science Departments.
2.4 CENTRAL LIBRARY :- Central Library is the heart of the institution. The
Library is rich with 35979 books inclusive of 25185 reference resources with 10794 text-
books, Journals & Periodicals back issues 1660 bound volumes. 68 Journal &
Periodicals with various subjects. e-services, INFLIBNET-N-List, 60 users are taking
advantage of this facility. Similarly Competative Exam Books, Journals, Periodicals,
New-papers, alongwith local & National level are available for students and learners.
The library working process is completely computerised. Internet facilty is also
available for advanced learners and researchers. Student borrow two books every
week on payment of library deposits. In addition to this there is a separate Book- Bank
section having 2435 books, which provides text-books to poor & needy students free of
cost for whole years. Similarly provides for students, zerox, book searching, separate
reading room facility with this central library is assisting to the departmental libraries of
all the major departments
2.5 GYMKHANA :- The sport facilities are provided to the students. Facilities
for indoor games and outdoor games like Cricket, Holly-ball, Kabaddi are also made
available. Our students participate in intercollegiate, Intergroup and Inter-University &
Inter-State Tournaments & excel in various games.
2.6 HEALTH CLUB :- Well equipped Health Club is available for daily exercise &
body building for students. A special instructor is appointed for Health Club, who looks
after all these activities.
2.7 COMPUTER CENTRE :- There are two separate computer laboratories for
Computer Science & Commrce Department each having 42 computers with Internet
facility.
2.8 TEACHING & LEARNING : WE PROMOTE
Research and support of new instructional strategies that enhance and
extend the opportunites for teaching and learning.
Promotion the use of information and technologies that support for
enhancing the current knowledge of the environment.
To prepare students will variety of information of different subject with

objectively and subjectively for further competitive careers.

2.9 LEADERSHIP : WE ENCOURAGE
Through various events, creating groups, focusing problems and directing
students towards teamwork and leadership.

ability for improvement and helping to students for the same.
To make clear the vision about goals, objectives & mission of the institutiion
to direct efforts of all companions with students.
2.10 STUDENTS COUNSELLING CELL
Our students are guided by the experience lecturers at the time of
admission for selection of subjects, stream, certificate courses etc.
Guiding students through out the year with their problems about syllabus,
learning & grasping of the topics with the help of concening teachers & H.O.Ds.
With the help of various psychological tests students are offered
counseling.
Centre organizes various workshops for the overall development of the
learners.
2.11 STUDENTS GRIEVANCE CELL
The college has established Students‟ Grievance Cell to solve academic
problems and difficulties of students. Complaints from students are put to the said
committee which takes congnizance at the very momement and solution is provided.
2.12 STUDENTS‟ COUNCIL
As per the guidelines of North Maharashtra University, Students‟ Council is
formed every year. A class representative, according to merit, represent the class.
These representative elects University Representative. Members of Students‟ Counicl
participate in various activities in the college.

2.13 YASHWANTRAO CHAVAN MAHARASHTRA OPEN UNIVERSITY, NASHIK
The study centre of YCMOU Nasik is run by the college since 2007.
preparatory courses as well as First / Second /Third year B.A. courses are available.
S.S.C./ H.S.C. fail students can complete the Preparatory Course and
thereafter get admission to First Year Arts Degree Course.
2.14 PLACEMENT CELL
Placement and Counselling Cell is working from 2010, successfully headed by
Scinece faculties. Main aim of this cell is to provide oppourtuniteis to the undergraduate
/ post graduate students for their employment. This year (i) Vega Chemicals
Pvt. Ltd. Jalgaon (ii) Navkisan Agro Products Ltd. Aurangabad (iii) Training and
Placement Cell of North Maharashtra University Jalgaon has selected 12 students for
training & placement. Cell also conducts personality development programmes to
upgrade students‟ soft skills. From this year, our placement cell has tied-up with the
TPC of North Maharashtra University Jalgaon.
2.15 COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION GUIDANCE CELL
Under Graduat and Post Graduate students from the entry level are
motivated towards the pattern for MPSC / UPSC as well other competitive
examinations through arranging the lectures of eminent personalities from outside as
well aranging the examination on holidays serially.

2.16 REMEDIAL COURSES
The college conducts Courses for slow learners and for the students
coming from weaker section of the society. Students are satisfactorily gained from these
courses.

2.17 ASSESSMENT FOR FEEDBACK
Being Teaching & Learning is the continuous process, evaluation of the
student is the part and parcel of quality eduction. Test, Tutorials, Home Assignments,
Seminars, Group Discussions are used as methods of assessing the students. coming
from weaker section of the society. Students are satisfactorily gained from these
courses.
2.18 YUVATI SABHA
This activity is specially formed to guide the girl students. Through out the
year variety of programmes arranged for their health and hygiene, reposonsibilities and
their rights, personality development. Social activitst, Doctors, Lawyers are
invited for casual lecturers and guidance. 2.19 RESEARCH CENTRE UNDER U.G.C. SCHEME :- A Research Centre
under U.G.C. Scheme as guidelines of the U.G.C. for guiding the Researchers.
Teachers recognised by the University guide the students and researchers for their
research work for M.Phil. & Ph.D. 50% of the staff members are carrying out Minor
Research Projects funded by U.G.C. Some teachers are deputed on FIP for Ph.D.
degree.
2.20 NATIONAL CADET CORPS [ N.C.C.] :- N.C.C. facility is available in the college under 18th Mah.Bat. Jalgoan, intake capacity is 34 cadets. Cadets will get different scholarships. 2.21 NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME [ N.S.S.] :- N.S.S. unit is available in the college, N.M.U.granted 200 students in this scheme. 2.22 MEDICAL CHECK-UP :- Every year students admitted at First Year level have to go for Medical Check-up. The Expert & experienced Doctors from the town held up the Medical Check-up. 2.23 STUDENTS WELFARE PROGRAMME :- English Literary Association, Commerce Association, Competitive Exam Guidance Centre, Debate Association, Placement Centre, Nature Club & Geography Association, Science Association, Planning Association, Yuvati Sabha, Cultural Association etc. work through-out the year. To nurture hidden qualities of the students, time to time, supportive activities are being conducted in the college. 2.24 ALUMNI ASSOCIATION :- Alumni Assocition is established for ex-students. It is expected to involve maximum number of ex-students in the development of college activities & to help new college students. 2.25 STUDENTS AID FUND :- Under this scheme financially poor, inteligent and needy students are given financial help by the college. 2.26 ANNUAL MAGAZINE „ MAKARAND‟ :- Every year college annual magazine „ Makarand‟ is published. Full exposure of students qualities in various fields of curricular and extra- curricular activities are given

2.27 JAMNER TALUKA VIDYNA PRASAR SAMITI, JAMNER.
This is a science forum of all the science teachres, lecturers, working in Jamner
Taluka Education Society. Along with this, the science teachers in all the nearby High
Schools, Junior Colleges are also the members of this committee. The aim of this Samity is “ organisation of events is awareness.” To achieve
this goal the committee organizes the programmes like “science-week” every year, The
informative science lectures are delivered by science lecturers at different high schools
and Junior Colleges. From last year “ Eco-Friendly Ganesh-Utsav” workshop is now
going to organize every year for all the Ganesh Mandals for Urban and Rural area to
aware the society for Green aspect.

4.4 ELIGIBILITY : F.Y.B.A/ F.Y.B.Com. / F.Y.B.Sc. According to North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon Circular No.74/1995, students seeking admission at First year B.A./ B.Com. / B.Sc. must have passed 10+2 level H.S.C. examination ( Std. XII ) or any other equivalent examination with English. Students passing D.Ed. with English as one of the subject can have an admission at F.Y.B.A. Whereas a student passing Diploma in Engineering can seek an admission at F.Y.B.Com. Other citeria, terms and conditions for admission as per the N.M.Univeristy, Jalgoan “ No student can seek an admission on Duplicate L.C. & T.C.” 4.5 ADMISSION PROCESS : Admission process shall be finished within 20 days from the date of declaration of result of H.S.C. exam / University Exam. Students are expected to acknowledge the notices displayed at college Notice Board. Students are to
collect the requisite admission form with prospectus from the consumer store and read it carefully. The following documents must be attached to the application forms duly filled in : 1] Original leaving certificate with Original marks statement of H.S.C. / D.Ed/ Engineering / University Examination two attested xerox copies & Attested xerox copy of caste certificate. As per the admission rules, the merit list and the list for reserve seats will be displayed on the college notice board. Students are to confirm their admission by paying the fees in cash alongwith their admission forms with stipulated period of time. If the student fails to take admission as per merit list, within 5 days, he / she will loose the right for admission as per list and the next meritorious student will be given the chance. 4.6 S.Y./T.Y.B.A./B.Com /B.Sc./ M.A./M.COM/M.Sc. 1] Students seeking admission at S.Y./T.Y.B.A./B.Com. /B.Sc./ M.A./M.COM/M.Sc. must take an admission within 10 days from the declaration of the result of the previous examination. 4.7 GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS 1] Granting an admission to any students shall depend upon his / her marks, general behaviour and good conduct. 2] As per University Ordinance No.116, no student can have an admission for two Degree courses simultaneously. 3] Students will be admitted each of the class as per the admission quota decided by the University. 4] Students are expected to acknowledge the changes made in the admission rules from time to time displayed on Notice Board. 5] The admission of First year students shall be treated as confirmed only after getting the eligibility certificate from University.
4.8TRANSFER CERTIFICATE: A student can apply for Transfer Certificate if he
wants to leave the College. For this student has to apply in the prescribed form available in consumer stores and he must attach attested xerox copy of the Mark Statement of latest examination.
4.9MIGRATION CERTIFICATE : A student seeking admission from the other
Universities to North Maharashtra University or vice-versa, has to produce the Migration Certificate. For this, student has to apply for the same in the prescribed application form available in Consumer Store. The application should be send to the former University alongwith T.C. for Migration with prescribed fee.

4.10 IDENTITY CARD & LIBRARY CARD : After an admission, student should collect his
I Card & Library Card from library. It should should be duly signed by the student and countersigned by the Principal. It is compulsory on the part of the students to keep the I Card with them all the while they enter in the college premises. Duplicate I Card can be made available on payment of Rs. 30/- provided the original is lost. A student must produce his / her I Card on demand made by Principal, Vice-Principal, Teachers & Non- Teaching Staff.
4.11 FEES CHARGES Fees to be paid under various heads are subject to charge as per the directives of University & Govt.of Maharashtra. The following charts provide the information related to the various fees to be paid by the students for the year 2009-2010. (See Fee Charts on page No. 32-35)
4.12 REFUND OF DEPOSITS Various deposits are refundable in the next year in the month of September only (i.e. From 1st Sep., to 30th September).
