Here the words of our
friend Tom Schreiter
are right on target: it is
very strange that at schools and
institutes we learn a lot of use-
ful things, but somehow we are
not taught one most important
thing – the capability to orien-
tate oneself in life.
What does “to orientate”
mean? And what is needed for
that? First of all, it is necessary
to have a reliable “ground map”,
that is the correct perception of
the world we live in and lay our
route. Secondly, an accurate com-
pass is needed to move along the
scheduled route referring to our
map instead of rushing blindly.
And thirdly, we should know
for sure where we want to arrive
at. Vision provides its associates
with all the mentioned things —
destination, navigation tool
and ground map. Here under
“destination” we understand
our health, under “navigation
tool” — the product and well-
ness-technologies of Vision,
and under “ground map” — our
relevant, life-proven knowledge
on what affects human health
and how.
Do you want to be healthy?
This is it! Look! There are hazard-
ous areas clearly identified in the
map: on the left — a swamp of
fast food, on the right — a cliff of
pernicious habits … And there is
the salutary trace of healthy nu-
trition and physical activity. Step
forward bravely and do not listen
to honey-words of “well-wishers”
attempting to mislead you ever
and again. But it turns out that
even these three things, target,
map and compass, are yet not
all that a person needs to live a
truly happy and conscious life.
These things are necessary, yes,
but still they are not sufficient to
answer the question what we are
living for, and what sound health,
decent salary, cozy house and all
what is included into the notion
of quality of life are needed for.
Many people who live in
conditions of present-day ad-
vertising and consumer tyranny
would find it more and more
difficult to find answers to this
utmost question. But there is still
the answer, and it is always close.
It is simple and universal, inde-
pendent of political or economic
situation, cultural differences and
national spirit. This answer is that
as a matter of fact we all live for
one – for our children.
That is why we as the Compa-
ny from the very beginning were
genetically, let us say so, orient-
ed to support childhood as an
unconditional and highest value
making us any moment and in
any situation capable to answer
the question on the true intent
purpose of life without doubts,
and that is always to move in the
right direction.
For the same reason Vision
has been engaged in charity
activities from the first days of
its existence. In the beginning, it
was a spontaneous movement,
but in a short time our charity
work became no more sponta-
neous and acquired rather sys-
tematic character thanks to the
amazing efforts of Margarita and
her associates, and this year the
Missia Charity Foundation will
celebrate its 10-year anniversary.
For many Vision distributors
and employees, the day they
started working in the Company
became the turning point in their
lives, when they began gaining
stable income despite the tur-
bulent 90s. And after achieving
confidence in the future, they
took the chance to give birth to
children.
And soon after the first gener-
ation of Visioners’ children was
born, and distributors took them,
just newborns in pretty little car-
rycots, to Company events.

And some time later when
they grew a bit older, they already
stepped on Millennium stages
and keeping microphones in
their little hands spoke about
their beloved parents and Com-
pany in front of several-thou-
sand audience. Our kids, my and
Margarita’s, were among these
children.
But time run fast and today
our hearts pant with gladness
and pride for our grown up chil-
dren, who got their education
and started adult life and not
only settled in life decently, but
also rejoined us.
We are happy with all our
hearts each time children of our
distributors join businesses of
their honored parents and catch
up their work.
While thinking about it I
imagine my dearest Dasha Pani-
na, Daniil Dubrov, Sveta Efimo-
va, Vika Fedorova, Kirill Kiselev,
Anatoliy Samoseyko, Vera Vasiuk
and many others.
Looking into their young
and bright faces, I have almost a
mystic feel because they resemble
their great parents, moms and
dads, grandfathers and grand-
mothers who became part of
our company and my own life.
And not long time ago life made
a great gift to me and Margarita
personally: our daughters Lida
and Yana joined our vision busi-
ness. What else could be needed
for a parent to be totally happy?!
I think that if there is anything
else we could wish is to make
our vision attitude to children
the common guiding star to all
other people, all those who make
world politics and keep in their
hands all the levers of power and
who influence welfare of billions
of people on the whole planet.
I hope that while taking their
crucial decisions they would at
least think of the future of their
own children.
And then — I am sure about
it — mankind would manage to
avoid many troubles and settle
down to a course leading to a
peaceful and happy tomorrow.
That is why we made the decision
to declare the next year to be the
Year of Childhood in Vision.
Let us together do our best so
that in the next year and here-
after we would hear more often
laugh of children rather than
their cry, so that children would
go to schools and play in yards
instead of hiding in bombshelters
and so that after all we would
leave to our children and grand
children good memories and a
stable, made for a full due, family
business with Vision.

The MISSIA Foundation
is 10 years old. Does
that mean that the
Company’s social responsibil-
ity work dates back to 2004?
Since the founding of Vision
we have realized that only compa-
nies with a strong personality and
a corporate identity can become
leaders in the market. Today, cor-
porate culture is hard to imagine
without social responsibility.
The Vision Company has al-
ways initiated charitable activities
and events. Our distributors’ work
has always involved good deeds.
The MISSIA Foundation merely
acted as an integrating public
organization which set guidelines
and priorities for charitable work.
Is the Foundation still giv-
ing priority to social orphan-
hood?
I usually answer questions
like this in the following way.
We would really like to believe
that there is a positive trend in
solving this 21st century prob-
lem; but the international festi-
val Christmas Dream this year is
going to host children from 44
orphanages from 42 towns. They
are children who have found
themselves in difficult life situa-
tions; children with broken lives;
children who are just taking
the first steps to learn to dream
again and to trust adults.
Do you think the objectives
of your charity work resonate
in the hearts of people?
Without a doubt! The mana-
gerial resources of the Founda-
tion are limited, that is why we
find it extremely helpful when
our distributors and the Com-
pany staff get involved in chari-
table activity and when they tell
their family and friends about
the Foundation. This way we
move forward together. The an-
nual charity program Magic Box,
which closed at the end of Janu-
ary and has given us new friends
and philanthropists, is one
example. It would seem just a
simple cardboard box. But peo-
ple give it a new life by making
a personal gift for a child. There
probably is another important
ingredient: our distributors and
people who share their views
put their hearts into all they do,
which is why the giving away of
the magic boxes turns into real
Christmas and New Year celebra-
tions for the children.
I am sincerely grateful to you,
our friends, philanthropists, and
volunteers for your kind hearts
and graciousness, for your will-
ingness to do good in so many
towns and countries. You fill the
Foundation’s work with a soul,
life energy, power, and inspiration.
You change this world making it
kinder and better. Crossing geo-
graphical borders you perfect our
plans with one important aim- to
bring KINDNESS. In words, deeds,
and life. You are the real Magi
bearing gifts, the wise men, magi-

Which values and moral
principles are your charity
programs based on?
We are living in a marketing
world. Mass media do their best
to create false idols that will be
destroyed the following moment.
Everything starts to get a mone-
tary equivalent; everything seems
to be named in figures. They are
false values... This might have
been one of the reasons why we
invite to participate in our charity
programs veterans, people with
a strong social position, people
with amazing life stories: people
who have to be an example for
the new generation. Our children
must know the scale of gracious-
ness and high morality that are
part of our parents’ and grandpar-
ents’ life.
Which difficulties do the
organizes of charity projects
of such versatile geography
face?
Creating an inter-cultural dia-
logue between people of various
countries within our programs
and creative contests we have to
bear in mind religious tolerance.
It is not easy to coordinate
work effectively when one has
to unite immense geographical
distances within our charity proj-
ects. Regional representatives and
volunteers are a great help.
Since the very first days of the
Foundation we have encouraged
our children to participate in
charity programs. Believe me, it
is hard. You have to find the right
words, to explain, and to be an ex-
ample. Our children must learn to
respond to a call for help, to sym-
pathize, to be tolerant, to meet
disabled people, to know tradi-
tions of their own country. When
I see the children of the Visioners
helping their age peers with such
sincere readiness and enthusiasm,
I can say with confidence- we are
a particular Company, we have a
great future.
Which new horizons have
you discovered for yourself
doing charitable work?
Charity is in many ways akin
to enlightenment. There are no
universities that would teach you
to do good. We are always open
to a dialogue and we are ready to
share our experience.
By helping children we be-
come better morally and intel-
lectually. Today we can talk about
the results of the religious and
educational program By The
Roads Of The MISSIA Foundation:
Jerusalem, which made it possible
for the orphanage students to get
in touch with the holy shrines of
Christianity.
We cannot but rejoice at our
cooperation with numerous
museums that display thematic
collections of the Foundation.
We used to dream about it in the
past but today it has become a
reality thanks to genuine en-
thusiasts, wonderful people that
come our way.
What is the vector of your
future aspirations within the
MISSIA Foundation activity?
What is it like, our vector of
movement in space?..
It is only being formed…it is
new ideas and their implemen-
tation; the joy of realizing the
uniqueness of cultural heritage
and the authenticity of artifacts; it
is the incomparable joy of social-
izing with people speaking differ-
ent languages; it is moments that
will be forever imprinted in our
hearts; perhaps one day a memory
will wake up, long forgotten but
so important…

B y all means, Guardsmen’s
Seminar in Vilnius has
become a new milestone
on Vision’s way. When going there
we were in high spirits but with
business considerations.
The high spirits were due to
the oncoming meeting with old
friends, the Company’s Leaders,
President and his family. The
considerations were about the
numerous questions demanding
urgent answers, both strategic
and local. And the seminar gave us
what we needed.
The core event was the speech
of Dmitry Buryak. It revealed
what was going on in the world,
why and, what is more, how we
needed to change. Dmitry listened
attentively to our proposals and
introduced certain amendments
to the development plan for
the nearest years. Eventually,
some programs determining the
Company’s development were
adopted. Among them was the
support for newcomers. It was
highlighted that the prospects of
intensive work at the Company
should be clearly demonstrated.
President also shared plans
concerning the Company’s new
direction of activities - multilocal
product. This offer will enable the
Company to become a lot more
democratic and friendly to people.
But what is the most
important, it was the first time we
were talking about the integral
approach to recruiting growth
that means rapid growth of your
cheques! Everybody knows that
a crisis releases a great potential
of people having experience,
ambitions and a great desire
to succeed. Stimulated by the
instability and difficulties, they
are waiting for our serious offer.
And now we will make them such
offer! First of all, it will include
a quick development program
supposing an easy and democratic
launch with minor investments.
The second part is attractive
business cases that will pay back
and provide profit in a short
time after a certain amount
invested. Dmitry also made the
long-awaited announcement
that this program would include

Dear distributors, dear
partners,
A most successful
Guardsmen workshop has been
held in Vilnius. Exciting news
and novelty products were intro-
duced at the workshop. The D4X
program has stunned me! One
would think, what can be made
from such a common product as
honey? But what we have now is
a unique innovative product. The
new formula is significantly more
effective than previous versions:
among its ingredients are many
new unusual components which
aim at improving health and qual-
ity of life.
The idea of Dmitry Arkadyev-
ich to set up a new direction -
Multilocal by Vision – encouraged
all participants of the workshop.
The Company is planning to
produce local products for each
affiliated country. Importantly, the
price policy will be adapted for
each country because the markets
differ and the standard of living
can vary greatly in each country.
Every Guardsmen workshop is
unique in its own way. Guardsmen
from all affiliated countries come
to attend it, and this consolidates
the Company. This Guardsmen
workshop, however, has become
a landmark in the history of Vi-
sion. Looking back, we come to
realize that last year was not easy
for all of us. We have seen more
than one crisis; believe us, this
is the best time to build up large
and even huge organizations. This
moment is complex and exciting
at the same time, and it is quite
promising in terms of developing
business. What Dmitry Arkadyev-
ich told us at the seminar gives
reason to hope for an excellent
future for the Company.
Now we are entitled to talk
about a comprehensive ap-
proach to a recruiting boom, and
consequently, to the increase
in your financial rewards. The
program of rapid development is
extremely important; it implies
a simple and democratic start
with little investment. Attractive

Dmitry Arkadyevich also made
a long-awaited announcement

GUARDSMEN WORKSHOP IN LITHUANIA
“While everybody is dream-
ing, Vision is acting!”
These words of Dmitry
Buryak have become the motto
of the Sixth Guardsmen Sem-
inar, Avant-Garde Guardsmen
Workshop, held in Vilnius in
Mid-January for the leaders of
VIP 3S qualification or higher!
It’s time of big deeds and great
breakthroughs and the Compa-
ny has all the necessary tools for
it: smart strategies, unique inno-
vative products and, above all, a
well-knit team.
“The Company will be devel-
oping in three directions, - said
President Dmitry Buryak. - Firstly,
it is OrgaNice Program that will
implement new strategies and
promote new products. Secondly,
it is Vision’s Classics going on due
to update of its product line. The
third direction is the new pro-
gram: Multilocal by Vision. The
Company relies on cutting-edge
technologies. Vision is the com-
pany now existing in tomorrow.

sion is acting!”
In his speech, Professor Mar-
tin Middeke, heading the Hy-
pertonia Center in Munich and
participating in development of
dietary supplements for Vision,
supported President, praised
the high level of the Company’s
products and its work for bet-
ter life of people. The Professor
dwelled upon the problems of
prevention of blood vessels dis-
eases and told how to prevent
early vascular ageing. Martin

that will enable young people to
easily join sales and have a shot
at our business without serious
startup investments. Ambitious
businessmen will be given a se-
rious business program to return
invested funds by inviting only
three persons, and multiply their

“Car Program — Change Trans-

program demonstrating how Vi-
sion changes its distributors’ life
quality! The first details will be

Vision’s Dollar Millionaires Club,

Pocevichus presented new prod-

Margarita Buryak, Head of the
Development Unit, presented a
distributor tools for positioning
of Vision business in social media.
The Guardsmen observed a draft
of the mediaportal - an integral
resource of all communication
channels that will simplify naviga-
tion through the Company’s me-
diaspace. President’s announce-
ment concerning the changes
in the Company’s business offer
caused a sensation.
At the Guardsmen Seminar,
President with the Company’s
Top Leaders developed and ad-
opted the business development
conception oriented on rapid
growth of distribution organi-
zations. This systemic program
will involve all the levels of the
network and will soon attract
many new people - from young-
sters to ambitious serious busi-
nessmen. Dmitry Buryak told
about the new business offer
old, she holds a high qualification
and a membership on President’s
Guard. But she is not going to stop.
The Seminar’s stage also welcomed

Among the events conclud-
ing Vision’s winter season
was a major event of re-
gional scale - the Forum in Novo-
sibirsk held on 20-21 November
that was to summarize the out-
comes of the past year.
It brought together active dis-
tributors of Russian Siberia and
Far East. The biggest delegations
arrived from Krasnoyarsk and
Khabarovsk. In such tough times,
when there is no support or state
programs for stability and when
people are anxious about their
future, Vision invites everyone to
make a step to independence. To
freedom from employers’ finan-
cial risks, to openness for the new
heights being really accessible with
Vision’s assistance. During the 18
years of its history, the Company
has overcome quite a few national
crises and in complex economic
conditions it consistently assumes
all risks. During these years clear
business strategies have been de-
veloped to enable distributors to
feel financially safe in any situa-
tion. The Company’s innovative
products reliably guarantee suc-
cess for your life, your family and
your business. The Company has
assumed the most complex part of
the plan (creation of the product,

content and form. Thus, Novosi-
birsk Forum offered its participant
a unique presentation and train-
ing platform.
During the two days of the Fo-
rum, Vision’s independent distrib-
utors acquire maximum informa-
tion and an incredible motivation
energy boost from the Company’s
top leaders, President’s Top Advis-
ers, VIP Masters, gurus of multilevel
marketing Alla and Andrey Andriy-
chuk. The Forum was attended by
Margarita Buryak, Head of Vision’s
Development Unit and President
of MISSIA Charity Fund.
The 13 independent distribu-
tors from Sibiria and Far East, who
had increased their turnover up to
186% over 2014, shared their best
practices and secrets.

Anatoly Samoseiko, a young
promising leader VIP1S from
Minsk, repeated his training that
had been presented at Moscow
VIP Forum. There, he had partici-
pated in the speakers’ contest and

vited him to speak at Novosibirsk
Forum. Anatoly Samoseiko joined
the Company only 10 months
ago, but his career shows really
rapid development. No doubt,

The Forum’s first day saw the
training by President’s Top Advi-
sors Oleg and Alla Andriychuk.

dren care institutions of Hanoi,
Novosibirsk, Nizhny Novgorod,
Yekaterinburg, Volgograd and
Volzhsky (Volgograd Region).
The winners of the creativity
competition “ZOO KIDS Masquer-
ade” by Vision will be invited to
join the annual Vision Voyage. A
delegation of 5 kids from an or-
phans asylum accompanied by
their teacher will cruise to Danag.
With the first day’s business
program over, one of Mariott Ho-
tel’s comfortable halls hosted a
standing dinner for the Forum
participants distinguished for
their special achievements.
The Forum’s second day was
equally full of events and bright
speeches. The Guardsmen from Si-
beria and Far East held their train-

The brightest speakers were Valen-
tina Bogaley with “Multilevel Mar-

Zotova with “Invitation to Busi-

of the Company’s Directions. Re-

The audience was greatly im-
pressed with Anatoly Samoseyko’s
“Operation in Social Networks.
How to Spend 2-3 Hours a Day in

uation, underestimating the im-

For all 18 years of its successful
activity, our Company has been
“lighting starts”. And perhaps the
brightest stars are Lam Hoang
Phong and Nguyen Thi Phuong
who managed to beat all business
growth records ever set up be-
fore. During the 4th year of their
work they achieved VIP 4S quali-
fication, and on the 5th – became
Masters and joined the Brilliant
Team of Leaders. This year in the
frame of the VIP-Forum Hanoi,
Company President Dmitry Ark-
adievich Buryak gave the titles of
Senior President Advisors to Lam
Hoang Phong and his wife Nguy-
en Thi Phuong.
During the time of working in
Vision, the quality of life of the
Phongs has moved to a new level.
They have built a new magnificent
house and bought several presti-
gious cars. Now they always travel
abroad for vacations which used
to be their dearest wish in the
“past” (prior to Vision) life…
How did you come to Vi-
sion and what motivated you
to do that?
At that time I worked as a manag-
er in an export and import company
and was quite successful in my line
of duty. In my spare moments I liked
sitting in a cozy restaurant, man-
aged by my spouse Nguen Ti Fuong.
I earned very good money even if
to compare with Europeans. But
a run of good luck never lasts for-
ever — we faced finance problems
and, to make it worse, my mom got
seriously sick. At that time I could
think only of myself and how to get
out of the finance trouble and safe
my mother. I came to Vision to buy
products she needed. The result of
their use surpassed all expectations
and the positive effect was seen al-
ready in 10 days. And she started get-
ting better. Having inspired by such
efficiency of Vision products I start-
ed using them myself too. And I liked
that my well-being improved, I start-
ed feeling healthy and full of energy!
I got interested in new opportuni-
ties and began investigating how to
build a business with Vision. Having
studied Company marketing plan,
I realized that one could enter this
business without making high initial
contributions. All what was needed
was studying and understanding
the system, and after that you could
start working. And the main thing I
understood already at that moment
was that this business could give lots
of “healthy” money!
In 2004 a whole agitational
campaign was started against
Vision in Vietnam. Many peo-
ple left the Company, but you,
on the contrary, decided to
join it. Was there something
that did not let you work?
First of all I trust my own feel-
ings. I saw the great result achieved
by my mother thanks to the Vi-
sion product. Indeed, many peo-
ple criticized the Company, but I
knew that it was bringing good to
people. I believed all at once that
Vision would bring me to success.
But there were problems as well.
First of all, I lacked knowledge of
how the Company worked, what
the functions of its products were
and how to offer them to people.
The second problem was that at
that time network marketing was
prohibited and the state creat-
ed obstacles to such activity. For
that reason it was uneasy to devel-
op and built own business. But it
helped a lot that Vision products
gave good and quick result and
therefore I did not have to take
much efforts to persuade people
in the quality of our dietary sup-
plements. And when in 2005 the
Vietnam law legalized network
marketing, the business began de-
veloping with at a cosmic speed!
Some distributors have
doubts if it is necessary to par-
ticipate in all Company activ-
ities. What is your attitude to
such thoughts?

I think this is a misbelief. I have
never missed a single event ar-
ranged by the Company. I love my
work, which is my pride. It is be-
cause working with Vision I build
my business and at the same time
I am the master of my life and take
the entire control of my time. Just
thanks to the events and trainings
arranged by the Company, as well as
thanks to my first travel Vision Voy-
age to Cuba in 2007, my confidence
in own powers and significance
to distributors of my network sky-
rocketed. Participation in the me-
ga-event Millennium in Olimpijsky
in 2006 became even more import-
ant to the business. It was not easy,
since I earned not enough and I had
to borrow money to afford this jour-
ney. But my Russian sponsors said,
“Lam Phong, it will be your path to
success and this event will dramat-
ically change your life!” And they
turned out to be absolutely right!
It was exactly after the Millennium
when I decided to put all my efforts
to Vision. And it was the moment I
made an actions plan in my mind
which brought me to the success
I have today! I love my work also
because every year I travel with the
Company arranged at a very high
level and discover new countries.
Thanks to these events and journeys
I learn many success stories of lead-
ers from various countries and use
their experience in my work.
One of the main questions
the newcomers ask is, “How
soon can I make financial suc-
cess?” There is no unambig-
uous answer, since everyone
has his own path in the busi-
ness. How would you reply?
Already after one year my in-
come at Vision exceeded the in-
come I had on my previous job in
an export-import company, and
now it is higher than that in tens. I
do not like boasting of my fortune,
but the law of our business obliges.
Success stories in network market-
ing not only impress but also moti-
vate a lot. For instance, my spouse
joined me only when I took her to
a Vision event and she saw people
on the stage who really succeeded
in this business. That is why I think
we just must speak loudly of our
achievements. For that reason the
Company always finds a way to en-
courage success of its distributors.
I see how the President’s family
cares of any distributor and Lead-
er of the Company. It is very easy
to work with Vision, because our
Company despite of its competi-
tors always has new products and
new programs to speak about and
do it endlessly. Therefore we are
grateful to the whole Company
and personally to President Dmi-
try Arkadievich Buryak! Among
other things, I am grateful to him
for believing in me, as he designat-
ed me to the position of a Senior
Advisor!
How much does recogni-
tion of people mean to you?
Recognition is the best way to de-
velop business! It not only charges
with energy those who get it, but it
also motivates greatly everyone who
sees what attention the Company
pays to successful distributors, how
it encourages them and what life
style it provides to them. Handing
marks VIP 4S to me and my spouse
on the stage of Millenium-2008
became a powerful incentive for
many distributors in Vietnam who
decided to do their best to get up to
us and experience the same delight
on the stage! We decided to raise the
bar for ourselves and one year later
we received the “Galactic” for “the
best business development rates”.
But we should not tell the new-
comers only of victories and recog-
nitions, it is dangerous. I can say by
my own experience: when a new-
comer is displayed only a beautiful
picture of his future without saying
anything about troubles, then they
are not physiologically prepared to
facing any troubles in future. Some
people cannot stand this and leave.
What would you like to wish
other distributors of Vision?
What are your future targets?
I would like to wish the distrib-
utors a permanent believing in the
company and its power! And the
ability to dream! My next target is
to make my cheque equal to 200
thousand dollars per month. And I
want to increase my qualification
more and more. My spouse Nguen
Ti Fuong helps me in business, and

I would estimate her contribution
to the common business to be 50 %.
She is a very strong leader and she
helps me to develop networks in
other provinces. And of course she
takes care of our children. If there is
no one to take care of family hap-
piness and children, then finance
success would not make you happy.
Is there a recipe for your
success?
There are many successful lead-
ers in Vietnam. They started work-
ing with Vision earlier than I did.
We have the same marketing plan,
formula of commission charging
and the same product. I suppose,
the main working technique that
helps us to win is a specific action
plan and specific life goal, which
should always be in front of you
to help moving forward. The most
important quality of a leader is
constant readiness to get knowl-
edge. If you began thinking that
you have achieved your best and
close yourself for new experience
and knowledge, you will never be
able to become a successful lead-
er. You should be always ready to
study and share your experience.
I wish other distributors achieve
the same results as I have in the
business and feel the taste of vic-
tory as I do. The most important
thing in the business is care about
people who follow you! And your
dream! Work hard, dream and
your dreams will come true! To-

I was born in the north of Italy in Varese, the very beautiful city near the Maggiore lake, in 40
minutes driving time from Milano. From childhood up I like talking, therefore on weekends
and during school vacations I worked at restaurants and luxe hotels to develop this excel-
lence. My parents were my first teachers. My farther was a butcher and could cook ham and
cold cuts with virtuosity. And my mother was a talented cook and was able to prepare al-
most any dish. But my best teacher was my own experience. That is why for several years after
school I worked as a chef assistant at various luxurious hotels in the Riviera Ligure, in Monte
Carlo and Milano, and then I decided to leave Italy to broaden my outlook and gain new
experience. And so I got on a journey which is still going on. I worked in the best and most
luxurious hotels of Europe, Asia, Caribbean Islands, Indian Ocean and Middle East. These were
Four Season, Sheraton and other hotels within The best Leading Hotel in The Worlds net-
work. And of course the InterContinental hotel in Hong Kong and now in Vietnam.
Every experience is unique itself and is interesting in its own way, that is why in each place
I learned something new. Work with such world-level masters as Luigi Bergeretto, Sergio
Mei, Robert Lalman helped me to become a chef. Mere talent is not enough to become the
professional chef, for that purpose one should practice, spend long years on hard working
in kitchen and pay constant attention to details. You shall work hard and devotedly to
obtain results!
— Tell us about several your “brand” dishes.
— I do not like telling about my specialties, because gastronomic fashion changes very
fast. But I stick to being honest to everything — food, a guest, my profession. As a chef I
am never fully satisfied with what I do. The best is the enemy of the good, and I always try
to reach perfection in my dishes. That is why I am always in pursuit, and dishes I prepare
today are much different from that I will cook tomorrow. I always remember the words
of one great Italian chef Gualtiero Marchesi, “The best dish? It will be one of those I will
cook tomorrow!”
— What do you think about the Vietnam cuisine?
It is absolutely new world to me, and I am investigating it with great interest every day.
I like flavors and great variety of the Vietnam cuisine, which is not the same in different
regions of this country. I think that it is very healthy and well-balanced food which is still
relevant event in the present-day world.
— Which dishes of the Vietnam cuisine are in your opinion the most interest-
ing and why?
—I have started my journey over this great cuisine not as long ago, but I have been
charmed to the bottom of my heart by the seeming simplicity of its dishes. I adore fo bo
with its terrific flavor and all variants of rolls made of rice paper. I wish I ate hoi han pan
baguettes or Vietnam blintzes each day. The Vietnam cuisine is something fabulous and
each chef may learn a lot in this country with its traditions gained for thousands years.
Even simple food sold in streets here astonishes with its fantastic variety and deepness of
tastes. Welcome to Vietnam, dear friends!

Each Asian country is excel-
lent with its culinary tradi-
tions. You should come to
Singapore to taste peppery crab and
fish-balls, to China – for noodles
and spring rolls, to Thailand — for
Pad Thai and Tom Yam. But if to dig
far down in gastronomy, almost all
cuisines of Asian countries originate
from Vietnam. Therefore if you are
going to study Asian cuisine from
the ground up, it is Vietnam where
you should go. It is a great advan-
tage that here food is not only tasty
but not expensive at all from early
morning and till late night.
However, Vietnamese themselves
prefer very simple food and their
ration is quite uniform and sta-
ble. And quality of their tableful
does not depend on social status
or prosperity: meal of every Viet-
namese consists of a huge basinful
of rich fo bo in the morning, noo-
dles and boiled or marinated veg-
etables within the day, and again
noodles for supper. At that there is
not specific timetable for meal.
Lunch time has come
People are eating all the time in
Vietnam. And they eat outside —
here as nowhere else in the world,
even in Italy and France, they like
taking meals in public catering
places to be seen by everyone in
the street, alongside of racing cars
and shoving motor bicycles. All

streets of provincial towns and all
prospects of big cities are full of
restaurants, cafes, bars, equipped
with hot food stalls, there are old
ladies everywhere selling sweet rise
rolled in banana leaves — the pri-
mary and almost the only dessert in
Vietnam. If you are not sure wheth-
er it is safe to buy the rise rolls from
the old ladies or not, then we rec-
ommend you to taste multicolored
rice in some touristic place, for
example, next to the main market
at Ho Chi Minh. Instead of buying
rise of any specific color (red, vio-
let or yellow) it is better to choose
a mix of all the range available on
the market stall: a salesman puts in
a plastic bag tree-four kinds of rice
Soup is the most
important course
Our moms would be glad to see all
the tourists and locals eating soup
in Vietnam with great pleasure. Es-
pecially fo bo, of course. The prefix
“bo” well known among Europe-
ans means that this soup is served
with beef. Bo soup is also cooked
with chicken, pork or seafood. But
indeed with beef it is the tastiest.
To make fo, chiefs cook everything
separately — for a long time, almost
for six hours they boil rich cook wa-
ter, boil meat separately, which is
then sliced to have very thin, almost
transparent pieces. In a proper cafe
(or at homes of Vietnam people) fo

(black, white, red, round, long),
several sorts of beans (pea, shell
bean, some other pips) and dredg-
es with something reminding sug-
ar heavily mixed with — do not
fear! — salt. This is a remarkable
dish you won’t forget.
Without having lunch breaks,
Vietnam people eat in streets
something seeming very tasty and
rinse it with green ice tea. You may
come to a restaurant any time –
either in the morning or in the
evening - and you will always find
here locals or progressive tourists
who very quickly get used to eat-
ing all the time.
The most popular dish in street ca-
fes is, of course, fo bo soup.

is served as follows: cook water with
beef is served in a large deep bowl,
in which cold rice noodles are put
just before serving, next to the bowl
they put a basin with a variety of
greens — one has to put the greens
into the soup separately. In general,
Vietnam cuisine is not character-
ized by specific sharp flavor, that is
why fo may seem a bit flat (espe-
cially in apparent touristic places).
Flat fo may be “tuned” with various
sauces always present on the table.
The second important local soup
is lao. Although local people treat
it rather like a main hot dish. Lao
is served in a very smart manner:
a huge iron bowl on a small torch.
Inside the bowl there is spicy cook
water, around the bowl — a variety
of vegetables (a number of types of
local herbs, a common sort of “Ice-
berg” salad and small seedpods hav-
ing name difficult to pronounce,
a lot of tomatoes) and main stuff.
The base ingredient has to be tak-
en from a wide variety of local sea-
food: shrimps, oysters, vongole-type
shells, red and white fish. Chilled
rice noodles, very thin and long, are
served separately. Waiters would
readily cook the soup for you, but it
is much more interesting to put in
the cook water the desired amount
of greens and to boil shrimps in it.
When the solid alcohol in the torch

is over, the soup will be ready. After
that you put noodles into small dish-
es and pour it with hot cook water.
Certainly, to please tourists local
cafes offer a number of European
soups. French onion soup is espe-
cially popular.
French classics Vietnam has been under protec-
torate of France for a long time
(from 1864 to 1945). But strangely
enough, this had very low influence
on the gastronomic culture of the
country. Wine industry in Vietnam
is still in germ . Here local Dalat is
produced, the grapes for which are
grown next to Dalat town, but you
can buy it only in the country, be-

cause it is too unpretentious. There
are some more wineries producing
preferably red wine, but their prod-
ucts cost far more that you would
like and they cannot hold a candle
with wines of New or Old World.
The main thing left here by the
French is baguette. On every street
in each town there are stalls selling
baguettes with various fillings. In
Vietnam baguettes are for some rea-
son three times shorter and one and
half times thicker than in France. A
baguette is cut in half and filled with
slices of cheap sausage where there
is far more soya than meat, and piec-
es of vegetables. We cannot say that
it is tasty, but it is quite nourishing.
Exotic
Of course there is exotic in Viet-
nam. But this exotic is rather
homelike, somehow usual, with
no pathos or extreme. After all,
when crocodiles are grilled on
every street corner, one stops
feeling that it is something aston-
ishing. And, of course, crocodile,
like most other exotic dishes, re-
sembles white chicken meat. It is
far more interesting to taste os-
trich, marinated by local chiefs in
various spices. Ostrich is served in
small and very thin chops.
In season time oysters are very
good here, they are not divided
into any sorts or sizes. These are just
quite big oysters most resembling

common Fine de Claire. They cost
around 2–3 dollars per one. But oys-
ters are served in a very funny way:
chiefs almost always pour sap out of
oysters, put ice pieces on the shells
instead of putting them under the
shells, and bring wasabi by all means.
For a Russian, the most exotic dish-
es in Vietnam are more than simple.
For example, in many local cafes
Vietnam people order huge plates
of boiled quail eggs. These are just
eggs in shell, simply boiled and
nothing more. A plate full of such
eggs looks bizarre, the strange exot-
ic which is there not to shock pub-
lic (like roasted snakes) and is real.
rice bowl
Everyone in Vietnam eats rice. The
main hot dishes are bowls of white
rice boiled with no salt or spices.
They boil seafood and chicken
along with rice —the outcome is
a big plate where among crumbly
pips you sometimes find a shrimp
tail or a piece of carrot. Since due
to the war Vietnam people have
lived in absolute poverty for a long
time, they learned to cook tasty
food of everything they find. A very
tasty local dish is garlic rice, it costs
nothing, is prepared simply of rice
and garlic with adding butter. And
you wish ordering it every day.
Perhaps, the most popular local
dish is spring rolls, also made of
rice. They roll rice noodles, fresh
3000years of tea consumed in Vietnam. This country has given the world
the culture of tea cultivation.

Fish sauce
People in Vietnam eat fish sauce
everywhere. You may even not
know it, but fish sauce will be in
every dish you order. There is a
faulty believe that fish sauce has
awful smell. It is not so. It is fish
that has bad smell after having pre-
pared for half a year (it is sun dried
directly in the street, the correct
name for this process is “fermen-
tation in pickle”), and only after
that is it used to prepare fish sauce.
The sauce itself does not have such
sharp smell, and in a finished dish
only its taste is noticed, while the
smell totally disappears. Experts
assure that the main component
of the taste of this sauce is umu-
mi, the taste of protein substances
which is considered pleasing.
Tea, coffee
It is odd as it may seem, but Vietnam
does not have tea cult. Gastrologists
advise going to China or Taiwan for
black or green tea. In all cafes for lo-
cals green tea is offered to all guests.
They even may pour team for you
very quickly and only after that ask
you what you are going to drink. We
recommend you to choose cold cof-
fee with condensed milk. If the place
is proper, and not a touristic zone,
coffee will be served in the following

way: a glass tumbler with condensed
milk on the bottom and a metallic
barrel on top with roughly milled
coffee and boiling water in it, next
to the tumbler there will be a bowl
with ice cubes. Coffee slowly strains
through the sieve and drops down.
When all the drink is down, it has to
be quickly diluted with plenty of ice.
It is almost impossible to drink Viet-
nam coffee pure – it is very strong.
Value of the matter
Prices in restaurants, cafes and bars
in Vietnam are endlessly attractive.
Whether in big cities or in resorts, in
5* hotel restaurants or in truck stops
every food will be very cheap. An av-
erage dinner with beer will cost ap-
proximately 20 dollars in a cafe, and
with European wine and oysters —
around 35 dollars in a restaurant
with white tablecloth. Bigger sums
are requested only for European al-
cohol and only on rare occasions.
It is also very important that food
quality is almost the same in all eat-
eries. The base restaurant dish —
rice with seafood served in a half of
pineapple — would be absolutely
the same delicious both in the cafe
with plastic chairs Bibo Seafood on
edge of Muine village and in the
most expensive restaurant of Ho
Chi Minh EON51 on the 51st floor
of the Bitexco tower. So you may
start getting acquainted with Viet-
nam dainties with any money.

Peking duck rolls with roasted pineapple
Ingredients:
Peking duck breast g. 200 Chinese sweet soy bean paste ml. 60 Pineapple, thinly sliced g. 85 Vietnamese rice paper n. 8 Cucumber, peeled and cut in fine julienne g. 85 Red bell pepper, cored, seeded, cut in fine julienne g. 45 For the sauce: Hoisin sauce g. 30 Water g. 30 Mustard sprouts g. 85 Pea shoot leaves g. 45 Method:
1. Remove crispy duck skin from the duck. 2. Trim fat and discard. 3. Cut the skin into small pieces and set aside. 4. Shred the duck breast meat into fine julienne, mix with sweet soy bean paste 5. Grill the pineapple slices until nicely browned, about 5 minutes. 6. To assemble, soak a sheet of rice paper in cold water until soft, then spread out on a
kitchen towel to absorb excess liquid. Arrange some duck meat, roasted pineapple, cucumber and capsicum on rice paper and roll up to form a small spring roll shape parcel. Repeat to make 8 parcels. Arrange rolls in a serving plate.
7. Serve the duck rolls with duck skin and sauce. Garnish with mustard sprouts, pea shoot leaves and any remaining pineapple.

Cooking:
1. Scald vermicelli in boiling water
during 5 minutes. Turn off fire and
hold vermicelli in for 5 minutes more.
Through it on a cullendar, wash with
cold water and let water drain. Vermi-
celli should be made a half an hour prior
to cooking the dish.
2. Cut 6 leaves of rice paper in two
equal parts with kitchen scissors. Fill
a large bowl with warm water. Sink each
half of the sheets into it one-by-one,
holding them in water just for 10-15 sec-
onds and then putting them into a plate.
3. Put a piece of smoked salmon on
a rice paper half-sheet horizontally
leaving 4 cm free space from its edge.
4. Next to the fish put some sticks
of perilla, mint leaves, some salad,
onion, cucumber and vermicelli.
5. To make a roll, at first fold edges
of the rice paper to the center and
press them to the filling and then start
rolling.
6. Before making the final turn, add a
stick of fennel and let it put out a
bit from one side. Repeat the same for
the rest rolls.
7. Serve with fish sauce.

tooligosaccharide (fos); this is

vide a 96% survival in the large

22 Hanoi hosted the Charity Dinner on November, 22/ This status event brought together
distributors of the Vision Company from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and social figures and
business people of Vietnam.
The grand Daewoo Hotel in Hanoi opened the doors of its magnificent hall to the guests of the event. Dmitry,
Margarita, and Lidiya Buryak were delighted to welcome everyone who shares the philosophy of charity work.
The charity dinner also organized a charity auction with valuable lots with their own history. The
spokesperson of the charity initiative, the Founder of the Missia Charity Foundation Margarita Buryak told
the guests that the donations collected during this auction will be used for the treatment of three children
from the Ba Vi Rehabilitation Center for disabled children in Hanoi.
This center is a state institution founded in 1976. The center is engaged in the care and rehabilitation
of disabled children of the northern provinces of Vietnam. At the moment about 200 children suffer the
consequences of cerebral palsy, constrained limb movement, mental deficiency, bad hearing, autism, and
“Agent Orange” chemical injuries.

the Practical conference of the MISSIA Founda-
tion which brought together philanthropists, vol-
unteers and regional representatives of the Foundation
from different countries. Many topical questions of the
autumn and winter season of the Foundation were dis-
cussed at the conference.
The founder of the MISSIA Charity Foundation Margari-
ta Buryak welcomed the conference participants from all
over Russia, and also the delegation from Vietnam who
participated in the Practical conference for the first time.
The MISSIA Foundation regional representatives talked
about systematic charity programs which aim at helping
children in difficult conditions better adapt socially.
Summing up ten years of its work, the Foundation remains
true to its main activities: making a child’s dream come
true; linking generations; promoting tolerance; teaching
children to respect cultural heritage of different nations.

Every year the MISSIA Foundation announces the Competition of Creativeness to take part in the internation-
al festival “Christmas Dream”. Starting with 2009 in the frame of the festival children are offered knowledge of
cultural heritage of various nations.
Dates of the festival: February 68, 2015 .
The festival “Christmas Dream” unites on the Vologda land children from orphan asylums, charity providers
and friends of the MISSIA Foundation. The X-th International festival will be participated by delegations from 42
care centers for children who got into difficult life situation.
Many of them will have to travel a long distance to get to Moscow.
Yakutia, Sakhalin, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk, Omsk, Ufa, Glazov, Kaliningrad, Stav-
ropol… Guys from far regions have to come to Moscow a day or two in advance to be independent of hard
weather conditions.
Every year the MISSIA Foundation calls upon volunteers, charity providers and all its friends to do what they
can to prepare children to the festival.
