Visit to Woodlands Regional Library

I will be going to Woodlands Regional Library (inside Woodlands Civic Centre)

I will enter the library at level 1.

This is the entrance of the library. I will enter through the gates and walk past the video wall on

my left.

In the library, I need to keep quiet.

After entering the library, I can walk straight ahead to read the magazines and newspapers.

I can also walk straight ahead and then turn left to take the lift to the other floors.

The lift is at the end of the corridor with magazines on my right.

Level 1 has magazines and newspapersLevel 2 has books for adults in Chinese, Malay

and Tamil, and books for TeenagersLevel 3 has comic books and books for adults in

At level 2, this is what I will see. Books for adults in Chinese, Malay and Tamil are on my left while books for teenagers are on my right

At level 3, this is what I will see. Comic books and books about different subjects are on my left. Storybooks for adults are on my right.

At level 3, when I walk straight and turn left, I will see comic books and books about different subjects.

At level 4, I will see a big tree.

On the left of the tree are English books for children. These books have no pictures.

On the right of the tree are books for children that have many pictures. Most of these books are in English.

If I walk straight past the tree and turn left, I will see this house where I can read quietly. I will need to take my shoes off before

stepping on the mat.

In the library I can choose the books I like and read them at the chairs, sofas or under the tree at level 4.

In the library, I should walk (not run).

I can also borrow the books home to read.

I will need to line-up for my turn if other people are using the machines.

Books I borrow home to read must be returned at the bookdrop within 3 weeks

The bookdrop is near the library entrance.
