brands in stand building, retail and interior design. In

addition to the three sectors mentioned above, Faber-

Exposize also works on behalf of advertising agencies

and, last but not least, museums.

The company manages everything in-house in order to

minimise lead times and guarantee accurate process

control. Prints may well be produced quickly, but if they

are unsatisfactory or not entirely in accordance with the

customer’s colour specifications, precious time will be

lost. “Our customers know they can rely on guaranteed

quality, punctual delivery and cooperation with a reliable

partner,” stated Chief Business Officer Eric Verkerk. “Our

own assembly service ensures that on-site inspections

are carried out during assembly. We also attach great

importance to our logistics and handling system. In retail,

for example, several different products may be destined

for a number of different locations. All this has to be

managed to perfection.”

International projectsA number of other takeovers in the space of a few years

have made FaberExposize one of the largest signage

and wide format printed product providers for retail

A ccording to CEO Martin Kop-

pelaar the opportunities gen-

erated by Exposize will be a

major advantage to Faber’s

customer base, whilst Faber’s

international branches will

boost Exposize exports. Recent international develop-

ments have also strengthened the FaberExposize orga-

nization.

International brandThe merger of these two complementary businesses has

created one of the largest printing and sign specialists

in Europe, with branches in Amsterdam, Rotterdam,

Zoetermeer, Eindhoven and Stiens in the Netherlands

and in Germany, the UK, Sweden, Thailand, Chile and

Mexico. Most are production facilities, others are sales

offices. FaberExposize currently employs 450 people.

The company combines Faber’s long-standing expertise

in flags with the international experience and creative

power and dynamism of the younger Exposize, a

well-known sign and wide format print company, which

works on a projects basis for national and international

FaberExposize scaled up to European level

One of the largest European flag producing brands Faber Vlaggen and XXL printing company Exposize, two

companies that have been working in close cooperation for two years, will henceforth operate under the name

FaberExposize. The new company can now handle large scale jobs on a project basis for major retailers, multinati-

onals and chains across Europe and further afield.

approach from standard products supplied via a website.

Our sales outfit, in-house and field departments are of

critical importance. They process these types of orders

in a standardised manner in conjunction with our project

managers. Our software is also specifically designed

for this purpose. Logistics and technology operating in

unison. They decide what is produced where.”

In addition to the other locations mentioned earlier, this

could also be in Zoetermeer, where we operate two

screen printing lines as well as two recently purchased

Durst P10 print systems. Or in Eindhoven, where you

will find Mimaki dye sublimation printers alongside a

recently acquired Durst Rhotex 325, as well as two EFI

VUTEks and a new Durst UV printer. We also purchased

a Durst-printer (HS) in Poland.

Eric Verkerk continued: “Overall we have invested in

seven large Durst print systems since 2015. In terms of

production, solidity and reliability these machines are

superb. The combination with other, frequently smaller,

print systems is what makes it a pleasure to work with.”

Martin Koppelaar added: “In Thailand FaberExposize

has been operating a large screen printing facility for

some years, as well as several Mimaki textile printers.

Smaller printer units are operated in the UK, Sweden

and in Stiens.”

FaberExposize B.V. is a subsidiary of the Faber Group,

an old established Dutch family concern that has been

around for more than 80 years. In 2014 Faber was

still a 100% flag producer. Now, in 2017, the company

has developed into a global provider of a wide range

of specialist services in sign and wide format print,

and employs 450 people. Having access to a team

of specialists, 40 large format printers, an in-house

studio and installation team, FaberExposize is able to

guarantee faster and more reliable deliveries with a

focus on personal attention. FaberExposize is always

there, just around the corner.

customers, design companies and exhibition organizers

across Europe. The company manages a project from

start to finish, with everything produced in-house and

final implementation and decoration on site, which also

requires the necessary in-house logistics.

Clients in all sectors value expertise in their specific

branch. They want to talk to experienced producers,

receive appropriate advice and implement innovative

ideas. After all, the impact of the communication which

FaberExposize helps to formulate determines how effec-

tively the message will eventually be communicated to

end users.

In the Netherlands the FaberExposize product range

was recently expanded once again. The takeover of

Haan Reclamewerk in Stiens (in the North of the country)

represents an interesting addition to the range of sign

products and a considerable expansion in assembly and

installation capacity. The company is now in a position

to provide even better cutting, bonding, assembly and

design expertise, combined with bespoke advice.

Haan Reclame has also introduced a number of smaller

as well as larger customers, who now benefit from the

extensive FaberExposize product range.

Developments in GermanyThe former wide format printing company XXL Megaprint

(based in Heiligenstadt), now called FaberExposize

Deutschland GmbH, benefited greatly from a takeover

by FaberExposize. Synergy between the various

branches in the Netherlands and Germany generated

considerable growth by the end of 2016.

A new Durst Rho 512R with flexible UV inks and Durst

Rhotex 325T textile printer were installed in February

of this year to accommodate the increased demand for

capacity and quality.

The expansion of the printer fleet not only increased

capacity, it also led to improvements in quality and an

extension of the product range - an absolute necessity to

continue to supply the German retail chain and fashion

brand market. Close cooperation between the Dutch

and German FaberExposize subsidiaries ensures that

the ever critical German customer can rely on fast and

reliable deliveries combined with unrivalled flexibility.

ProductionEric Verkerk quoted a recent FaberExposize project.

“It involved more than 530 ‘doors’ in subsidiaries of an

international retail chain across Europe, for which we

had to deliver and assemble a complete sign package

consisting of light box canvases, window stickers,

cardboard pillars, etc. We received and produced the

artwork on Friday afternoon. We then printed, finished

and packaged it and on the Wednesday trucks were on

the road delivering across Europe.”

Martin Koppelaar added: “This requires a totally different
