VISTA VIEW May 2016 Motor Vehicles on Association Property Motor Vehicles, except commercial ones, shall be parked in the resident’s assigned spaces. This includes motor vehicles of guests and business invitees. Any overflow should go to the visitor area in front of the clubhouse and not to another resident’s space. No unregistered or inoperable vehicles shall be moved onto or kept on Association property. No motor vehicle may be disassembled, nor major repairs be made on Association property. This includes but is not limited to engine overhauling, exhaust system repairs, brake lining repairs, and body work. Under no circumstances may cars be left on jacks or blocks. Any vehicle parked in the trash dumpster area is subject to immediate towing, without notice. Again, cars on blocks, junk cars, disabled vehicles, and vehicles that do not have current registration are prohibited and any such vehicles are subject to immediate towing. Condo Rules Prohibit Routine Automobile Maintenance Residents are not allowed to perform any maintenance (routine or otherwise) on the common areas, including the assigned parking areas. There are several reasons for this including potential damage to the parking lot surface from automobile liquids like antifreeze and oil. The Association prohibits the practice of oil changes and car washes. The run-off is a potential eyesore and the Association certainly does not want to see cars up on cinder blocks while tires are installed. There is also the potential for liability as any injury that occurs on association-owned property has the possibility of incurring liability. Per the Rules and Regulations passed out in February, residents and guests are to avoid loud or excessive blowing of car horns, blaring music, and other noises which disturb the neighbors or the community at large. <><><><><> To receive communications from the association and to get your newsletters and other notifications by email, do not forget to email or text to the HOA your email address, using the Monte Vista contact

Motor Vehicles on Association Property

Motor Vehicles, except commercial ones, shall be parked in the resident’s assigned spaces.

Per the Rules and Regulations passed out in February, residents and guests are to

avoid loud or excessive blowing of car horns, blaring music, and other noises which disturb the neighbors or the community at large.

Suggestions for the Month of May It is now time to enjoy the fresh May flowers on the Monte Vista grounds that are

the result of the April showers we have had. There is growing anticipation of outdoor barbecue get-togethers and other outdoor activities. School-age children

are anticipating the last day of school for summer vacation and parents are planning for family getaways after having to stay inside during the cold winter

months. May offers the following that we can enjoy:

Mother's Day Mother's Day in 2016 is on Sunday, the 8th of May. It is the most popular of the

special days that occur in May. Sweet Auburn Springfest 5/6/2016 - 5/8/2016

The Sweet Auburn Springfest is one of the largest outdoor festivals in the Southeast. Enjoy entertainment, a fun zone for kids, an international food court,

and more. Memorial Day (05/30) Planning a trip by car? Make sure that you have up-to-date documents, including registration and insurance card. Don’t forget the phone charger. At night, use

extreme caution. Have AAA or similar membership.

If you have an accident, police and insurance companies will determine fault, so avoid roadside confessions at all cost.
