Infinity Student Music Program Being a member of Infinity’s music program provides students with a weekly 30 minute private lesson, free admittance to all Infinity music workshops and performances, eligibility to participate in various intern opportunities, music program components and ensembles (based on performance level), access to Infinity’s network of mentors and educators and numerous opportunities to perform and showcase talent. Private music lessons are available on the instruments listed below. New instruments are added based on student request. Guitar, piano, drum set, voice, bass guitar, violin, ukulele, steel drums, hand drums, B3 Organ, saxophone, flute, trumpet, trombone, clarinet, french horn, baritone/euphonium and digital/audio production. Music History (SM620) This class provides a general overview of the interesting and sometimes amusing history of music from the 1600’s to today. While focusing on the artistic periods, composers, performers, and social movements that created lasting music, the class will also listen to musical examples, discuss music, and hear some of the stories that didn’t make it to the music history text books.

Guitar setup and maintenance (SM301)Understand and learn to use the tools that every guitar player should have! Learn to perform ba-sic set up and maintenance on your guitar and prevent frustration due to improperly maintained equipment. Students will learn how to shop for a guitar, set action and intonation, care, feeding and cleaning, and how to prevent bigger problems. Electric, acoustic steel string, nylon string, archtop and bass guitar players welcome! NOTE: Students must purchase or bring new strings for their guitar if they will be replaced in the class. Audition Workshop for Singers (SM180)Learn how to audition with confidence. Subjects discussed will be song selection, presentation, conquering stage fright, resumés, headshots for singers, sight reading at an audition and what to expect from the judges at your audition. Different styles of auditions will be explored and students will have the opportunity to experience feedback from a “mock” audition. Bring your favorite song and enjoy! THEATER/DANCEStudent Drama Club (ST201)Drama is a great way to gain more confidence and meet new people. Throughout the year we will be working on basic drama techniques, such as characterization, volume, and memorization. Infinity GLEE! (ST801)Come and be a part of Infinity’s new musical theater program! We will be learning and perform-ing scenes from a variety of musical theater shows. Be a soloist or part of the ensemble and get the chance to perform on the Infinity Stage and at local venues!
