Partner: City of Santa Barbara
Scope of Work: Clean-up and restoration of Parma Park and Rattlesnake Canyon Trail.
Activities: Installing erosion control mechanisms, replacing fencing and park signage destroyed by the fire, and non- native invasive plant species removal.
Total Participants: 10 - recruited from the Santa Barbara County WIA Dislocated Worker Program
Total Contract Amount: $186,190.00
Project Duration: July 1 to December 31, 2009
Additional Work Opportunities for Participants: Participants are eligible to apply for City job openings which several took advantage of resulting in 1 potential hire.

Scope of Program: Eight classes over five weeks of SBCC credit courses in customer service.
Important: First stimulus funded group sized training program in County.
Total Participants: 11 - recruited from the Santa Barbara County WIA Adult & Dislocated Worker Program (Nine graduated program)
Total Contract Amount: $71,621.00
Rolling RFP: August 17, 2009 to April 1, 2011
Additional Work Opportunities for Participants: Participants enhanced their marketable job skills.
