Introduction

• There are more than just visual learners. We can find visual, auditory and kynesthetic learners.

• While it is true that each student learns in each of these ways, there is one particular style that the student is stronger.

• Here we are going to talk about the visual style.

• Visual learners are able to memorise information through the sense of sight. We are more likely to learn information when we use images, pictures with a great variety of colours, maps and interactive activities.

• In our mind we can visualize objects, words and plans.

1. Visual learners pick up written information quickly.

3. Visual learners are quite fast reading as long as they know all or most of the vocabulary written. – For example, they can locate words quickly in the

dictionary if they know the spelling.

4. Frequently visual students appear to daydream.– often have a blank

expression during lectures or class discussion.

demonstrate rather than to tell or explain.

without being distracted.

7. Visual learners are a very observer people so they are better learning through images and graphics but they find it really hard when they listen at lectures or class discussions. They see to understand.

8. When visual learners plan weekends, holidays, birthday parties or normal days we tend to make written lists to organize ourselves.

10. The appropriate materials for a visual learner are movies, flash cards, graphs, charts, tables, rebus stories or graphic organizers; because these materials are immediately eye-catching. We see to understand.

11. We usually have problems distinguishing similar spoken words like access/excess, allude/elude or compliment/complement.

12. When doing difficult activities like cooking or fixing electric appliances we need to follow written instructions.

In conclusion, visual learners will have a higher level of the knowledge retention if we study through visual methods.

We need stimulation to put more effort in our learning.
