California Institute of Technology (Caltech) Pasadena Project Description: Assist in the design of the remodeling of a house for conversion to use for child care; assist with identifying financial and other considerations associated with the project. Project Description: Set up school age child care program including site feasibility and renovation. Project Description: Provide lead consulting services on the design and construction of a new campus child care center. (Construction project put on hold.) May 1998 -- July 2001 California State University San Bernardino Infant Toddler Lab School San Bernardino Project Description: Conduct play yard evaluation; design new outdoor play spaces for three areas. Educare Foundation - The Los Angeles Education Alliance for Restructuring Now (LEARN) Program Los Angeles County Project Description: Facilitate implementation of LEARN initiative with 30 Children’s Centers in the Los Angeles Unified School District over a five year period. Jet Propulsion Laboratory (Child Educational Center) Pasadena Project Description: Develop and administer the Child Educational Center, a child care center for the employees of JPL and the residents of the surrounding community. Oversee three program expansions from a preschool capacity of 92 in 1979 to 190 in September, 1988. Participate in the addition 6 school age sites for over 600 children. Later serve as Director of Consulting and Educational Services and as a member of the Board of Trustees. WORKSHOPS, SEMINARS, & CONFERENCES (Partial Listing) Note: Beginning in 2003 with the creation of the Outdoor Classroom Project in Los Angeles County and then in California statewide and then beginning in 2009 with the addition of the Orfalea Foundation initiatives, I led dozens of workshops per year and organized regional conferences where I spoke as a part of those greater initiatives.
