VLT 6000 Series drives are specially designed for the unique requirements of HVAC applications. Rich in standard features, including PID control, energy optimizing capabilities, and DC-link reactors, the VLT 6000 Series provides low motor noise with high effi ciency. With a broad range of pre-engineered bypass panel confi gurations and controls available, the VLT 6000 Series is the ideal solution for a variety of HVAC applications.

Customized SetupAll drives ship with customers application pre-programmed. After input of motor nameplate data, drive is ready for service.

Easy-to-Use KeypadKeypads are interchangeable, allowing parameters from one drive to be downloaded to others. Remote keypad mounting is also available.

User can see at a glance any four of twenty-fi ve possible displays simultaneously, such as drive frequency, current, output kW, and output kW-h

    Display can show process variables, such as %, F, C, Pa, bar, RPM, in. wg., gal/s, gal/min, gal/hr, ft3/sec, ft3/min, ft3/hr, or lb/in2

    Monitoring Functions Missing motor phase

    Output ground fault

    Loss of control signal

Loss of load or broken belt

    Output short circuit

    Low or missing input phase

Motor overload using internal electronic I2t overload

Line and DC bus undervoltage and overvoltage; output overcurrent

    Performance Ranges208 V: 1 to 60 HP460 V: 1 to 600 HP600 V: 1 to 400 HP

EnclosuresDrive and option enclosures available in NEMA 1, NEMA 3R and NEMA 12

Depth of Features Built-in Two Setpoint PID Controller

eliminates the need for a separate setpoint or PID controller.

Automatic Energy Optimization (AEO) constantly adjusts the motor voltage to optimize energy savings even under changing speed and load conditions.

Automatic Motor Adaptation (AMA) optimizes performance and effi ciency by measuring the motors stator resistance and reactance without running the motor or disconnecting the load.

Automatic Switching Frequency Modulation (ASFM) provides quiet motor operation at critical low fl ow conditions and full output without derating at high load.

Exclusive Digital Voltage Vector Control provides nearly perfect output current sine wave and full rated motor voltage at rated frequency, resulting in high effi ciency for both drive and motor.

DC-Link Reactor provides harmonics mitigation equivalent to a 5% AC line reactor, without the voltage drop and ineffi ciencies of AC line reactors.

Firefi ghter's Override Mode can be invoked automatically by the buildings automation system, allowing fi re and smoke to be controlled, contained and extracted by utilizing the HVAC system.
