BIOS Setup:- Place the VMWare ESX 3.5 Server CD into the CD Drive.

Restart the Computer and press F2 or Del button to enter into the BIOS Setup.

In BIOS Setup Utility Select BOOT menu.Select First Boot Device as CDROM. Press F10 to save

Changes of BIOS setup. Quit the BIOS Setup by selecting Save and Exit setup.

After Come out from the BIOS Setup, you will get the following Screen.

You can Select any one of the above option.

Press Enter to install Vmware ESX 3.5 server in graphical mode.

If you want to test the CD media test Otherwise you may skip the test by redusing time.

This is the Welcome Screen of the ESX Server 3.5 Installer, Click the Next Button to go tonext process.

Select the Language for your Keyboard.The default language is U.S English. Select U.S Englishand press Next Button.

This is the Mouse Configuration,here we can select any Mouse option depend on ourMouse. The default Mouse option is Wheel Mouse (PS/2). Select it and press Next.

This is the end user License Agreement which includes all the terms and conditions. Select Iaccept the terms of the License Agreement and Click Next.

You can select Recommended for ESX Server Installation wizard to automatically createpartition or you can select advanced to create partitions manually. In most of the cases

you can go with Recommended option, and Click Next.

ESX 3.x Server Installation wizard will again give warning about removing all data. Click yes.

This screen shows summary of partitions which ESX Server installation wizard is going tocreate. You can check size of various partitions and click Next.

Under Advanced Options you can change the boot loader configuration. I always go withthe default. Click Next.

Enter the IP address details. ESX Server installation wizard by default creates a Virtual Switchand a Service Console Port and assigns this IP Address to that port for ESX server

management purpose. There is also option to give VLAN id and to create default network for

virtual machines. Click Next.

Select Asia (Culcutta) timezone and click Next.

Type Root Password as password and Confirm as password.
