Voir Fashion Magazine No. 6The Year That Was
December 2012 to December 2013 represents the year in which Voir Fashion Magazine opened its pages to the world. And what a year it has been.
Those tenacious 12 months have seen us work painstakingly with many a model to style, photograph and deliver high calibre fashion imagery to an online audience, on a bi-monthly basis. In many a case, dramatically altering the look and feel of the models’ portfolios, by providing a refreshing editorial edge to their mainly, commercial books.
The idea to put together a ‘Best of’ Issue, was borne out of the sheer volume of print-worthy work we had pro-duced in-house since the decision to publish was made. The following pages therefore, bring you an insight into the world of Voir within those 12 months, from an indi-vidual portfolio perspective, as well as a collection of our finest work in the months preceding publication.
We aim to give you a flavour of the thought process behind our vibrant and exciting photographic shoots, the charisma and personality of the models who featured in our fashion stories, the critical eye and attention to detail in our concepts, styling, make-up and hair artistry, and the painstaking care and sometimes agony that goes into selecting the right images to tell the right story.
We appreciate you are forever hungry for newness and expression within fashion, and we are certain, that in spite of this being a retrospective, this re-invigorated body of work will serve to help you on that extra-ordinary journey of crossing reality with dreams.

Lucy
Lucy graced us with her presence for our ‘Mission Incredible’
fashion story in August 2013, playing the part
of a siren/honey trap in the game of espionage.
Highly convincing and fashionable at the same
time, she is a shining example of the
professionalism and personality required
from fashion models today.

Do you believe in Wonderwoman? Well in this age of the action Superhero, Voir opened up its Director’s Cut section by creating a ‘Fight or Flight’ fashion story in the Spring 2013 Issue. Beth played the starring role.
Voir’s Festive Issue took on a medieval tone for its fashion story ‘Longing for the Knight’. Inspired by the Holy Chic trend initiated by Dolce&Gabbana and Alexander McQueen, Beth enthralled us, and helped to deliver a sense of authenticity to her role. [this and previous 2 pages]

After winning the ‘Best Model’ awards at the 2012 Leeds Fashion Show, Declan and Lara set off on their international careers. Voir had the privilege of photographing them in their most raw formfor the LFS 2013 campaign which doubled up as a fashion story for ‘Directors Cut’ Primeval Rules.

Voir required a model who could act at being on the verge of insanity for the ‘Desperately Seeking Sanity’ fashion story in the Great Glamsby Issue. Ksenija ticked all the boxes and delivered a sterling performance.

Versatility is a key ingredient to
success. Amy had this in abundance
when working with Voir for the
‘Desperately Seeking Sanity’
summer fashion story in July 2013,
which featured in the Great
Glamsby Issue.
