A Red Carpet Affair>>>By: Ana Ragland

Lights! Camera! Action! Hollywood was theme for this year’s Junior/Senior prom. Prom was held Friday, March 2, 2018, at The Embassy Suites in Murfreesboro. The process was long and stressful, but the night and venue turned out better than expected! With red, gold, and black as the colors, everyone looked like a star as they walked into the room. The staff of the Embassy did a fantastic job with providing the students and facility with food and drinks, and the D.J. was even better! The music had everyone on their feet, dancing the night away! We even had a few teachers getting down to the music!

Senior Michaela Stone won prom queen and Senior Thomas Buchanan won prom king! Thank you to the Juniors who took the time and effort to make A Red Carpet Affair a success and a night the Seniors won’t forget!

Pi Day…By: Ana Ragland and Jewel Hewitt

March 14th, otherwise known as Pi Day, is a day where many of the world’s math enthusiasts come together to celebrate the many successes in the world of math as well as enjoy delicious pie! For Community’s Math and Science club, it was a relaxed meeting where its members munched on some sweets while talking over many recent events including the death of scientist Stephen Hawking. .

Key Club Convention>>>By: Macie Lemmons

On Friday, March 15 five girls (Brianna Beech, Lexi Evans, Madison Layne, Macie Lemmons, and Gracie Miles) from Community High School’s Key Club and the advisor Mrs. Beech set out to Lexington, Kentucky for a weekend trip for Key Club District Convention. As the weekend progressed, the girls learned all kinds of leadership skills, made blankets for a service project, and even learned the evolution of dance from Judson Laipply, the guy who invented the dance. All in all, it was a great weekend filled with fun memories and good laughs.

Macie focuses as she cuts the blanket with her group for the

service project.

Lexi smiles ear to ear as she meets new friends to make

their blanket.
