Allistair Dunn, a treasured friend and supporter of MVH and the Foundation, passed away in January. Al worked for the Ford Motor Company before enlisting in the Army Air Corp. He flew 128 combat missions and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross twice and a Presidential Citation for his World War II service. As an MVH trustee in the 1980s, Al was the driving force behind the creation of CareFlight. He is survived by several children and grandchildren and his wife of 70 years, Marilyn Dunn.

The ExoskeletonInspires New Hope

TThe purchase of a second exoskeleton was made possible through a specific fund for rehabilitation in the MVH Foundation. “There are two basic types of contributions,” according to Jenny Lewis, MVH Foundation President and CEO. “Unrestricted, or undesignated, gifts are able to be used in the area of greatest need in the hospital. The fund that allowed us to acquire the additional exoskeleton is a restricted fund, meaning contributions to that fund may only be used in that area. We are grateful to donors who made contributions to that fund which allows MVH to provide state-of-the art technology for patients.”
