PRESIDENT’s MESSAGE

Dear Members,

It is with mixed feelings that I am assuming the Presidency of the California Chapter, Ed has done an excellent job of leading the chapter. I have assured him that all I am doing is keeping the seat worm for him, until he is ready to assume the presidency.

The annual Thanksgiving Rally is coming to gather. If you have not heard, this will be our last rally at Chula Vista since they are closing the park in February 2019. Be sure to join us for this great outing November 14 thru 18, 2018. There will be a vote on the new purposed By Laws at this outing.

The Western Area Rally is scheduled for Jan 10 thru 13, 2019. The California Chapter is inviting members to join us on January 6th to go as a group. We will have parking on the plaza right in front of the auditorium. We currently have 14 coaches signed up, and we would like to see this number increased, so please come and join us. If you would like to Email me at [email protected], give me your names, phone number, and Email address before December 1, 2018. The group will meet at the Spotlite 29 Casino and enter the fairgrounds as a group for parking. When the time has been established an Email will be sent advising all.

Respectfully,

Roy Mc Daniel

EDITOR’S NOTES

I apologize for the Spot-Lite to be a little late this time. Jodi and I had some family issues come up and we had to spend several weeks out of state. As of today I have been activated to the Paradise fire to support the rapid damage assessment teams from the State Office of Emergencies. I have my go-bag ready but not sure if I will be request to report or not at this point. At the September, General Meeting there was a request to make the membership data available to members. I have created the database from several lists that were shared with me. The list is only available via electronic distribution and attached to the email. Please notify me of any changes necessary regarding your listing. If for some reason, you are not receiving the emails then you should consider checking your email server and adding the name “CCFMCA” and the email address of “[email protected]” to your address book. The new email distribution service I use allows me to see that emails are received at your email provider and also provides statistics such as who has opened their email and who has opened the Spot-Lite newsletter. If you have some photos of the rallies please forward them to me to be included in the newsletter. A short caption would be helpful as well. Tracy Lenocker Spot-Lite Editor and Publisher

Oktoberfest Rally at Golden Village Palms

Ed and Sarah Speakman and David and Marilyn Franke Ann were wonderful Trail Bosses for this Rally. Below are a few photos from the Rally. Other photos and a few videos were sent out the all of the members who receive notices via email.

And here is an email response we received from WMHA Senior Vice President, Bob Golk:

Dave/Ed,

Please pass on to your volunteers and CCFMCA members that Debbie and I really enjoyed your Oktoberfest rally. We had heard about this rally for some time and was looking forward to finally attending and we were not disappointed. The activities, food, venue and entertainment were all first class and showed that a lot of effort went into putting on this rally. We met a lot of nice people and just had a great time. In fact, this is the first time we ever attended a rally that we never left the RV park (didn’t need the dingy). We are looking forward to attending this rally again. Great job to all and thanks for a great time.

Bob & Debbie Golk WMHA Senior VP
