c) The programme will provide a safe place for female participants to explore new technology, develop skills and knowledge and increase confidence to engage in further mainstream courses; and
d) The programme will run in addition to the current mainstream Certificate III ICT courses offered to all students.

a) The aim of the MENS Program is to change the behaviours of men through providing intervention to improve the safety of family violence victims and their children.
b) The recruitment and employment of one woman practitioner will maintain the gender balance of one woman and one male practitioner involved in counselling sessions. This is considered beneficial for men’s behaviour change groups.

of training for the purposes of the Occupational Licensing Act 2005 and subordinate legislation.
1. Short titleThis Determination may be cited as the Occupational Licensing (Approved Courses of Training)
Determination 2017.
2. CommencementThis Determination commences 14 November 2017.
3. RevocationThe Occupational Licensing (Approved Courses of Training) Determination 2016 is revoked.
4. PurposeAs required under the Occupational Licensing Act 2005, this Determination sets out the
approved course of training or competencies required to issue a licence, perform prescribed
work or work under an exemption order, and includes previously approved courses in the gas-
fitting and electrical trades not mentioned in the previous Determination. This Determination also
updates requirements for persons applying from interstate to be electrical Nominated Managers.
5. Application of Acts Interpretation Act 1931The Acts Interpretation Act 1931 applies to this Determination.
6. InterpretationIn this Notice, unless the context otherwise requires:
“Act” means the Occupational Licensing Act 2005

8. Apprentices and traineesIn respect of an apprentice or trainee undergoing a course of training that is signed in a training
agreement; all courses listed in Tables 1 to 8 (inclusive) are deemed approved courses for the
purposes of the Act. All apprentices and trainees must be supervised whilst undergoing on-site
training.
Note:
There are no specified approved courses of training for persons registered or enrolled in study or
training for pre-employment, pre-vocational, pre-apprenticeship, vocational education and
training in schools or secondary colleges, or for university purposes and the like. Where this
study or training involves the performance of prescribed work within classroom, laboratory or on
a test bench or the like, and the prescribed work is not to be left in service in an installation or
infrastructure, other than for the proof or verification testing of the study or training. In these
cases, the standard of prescribed work and all related safety aspects must be managed by the
