    AN APPRECIATION

It is with a feeling of deep humility that I attempt to express myappreciation to my many friends and business associates for thehonor and good will which has been accorded me on the occasionof my having attained the 50-year mark of service to our community in the business of banking.

Words cannot express the emotions that I feel, for I am deeplymoved. I have always considered it my duty and privilege to useany talents or abilities with which God has blessed me, for thegood of mankind, and under His guidance.

This I have endeavored to do in services rendered to my manyfriends, and to the community in which nearly all of my llfe hasbeen spent, and to its churches and educational institutions.

To receive the congratulations and expressions of appreciationfrom those with whom I have worked and shared my services istruly gratifying. I, too, have been greatly blessed many times bythe services that others have rendered to me in my times of need.

The years pass all too swiftly, and our days of service are soonended, and only memories remain. It is good to know that in away our lives have brought blessings to others.

I am grateful to Connie and George for their part in letting theWeidman Messenger share my 50th anniversary of services. I thankthe Board of Directors of our bank for their expression of appreciation and faith, for it was under their help and good judgment thatour bank has achieved its present position of strength and success.

Thanks also to the business people of our Village and communitywho have stood by us faithfully through our growing years, for weall serve together.

Thanks also to the friends who contributed the beautiful plants, and the many who have sent letters and cards of congratulations, and those who have greeted me personally with words of kindness.

Thanks to everyone for helping to make my 50th anniversary ofservice one that will always be remembered with gratitude.
