The Caddy CANTO offers the discerning buyer the perfect blend of Volkswagen quality and GM Coachwork’s renowned engineering.

The Caddy CANTO is the perfect family vehicle offering seating for five plus wheelchair passenger. The CANTO features a lowered floor to give the wheelchair user maximum headroom. A low angle ramp makes entering and exiting easy while an optional electric winch can be fitted to make loading the wheelchair effortless.

On the inside the Caddy CANTO gives the wheelchair passenger 56” of headroom and a light and spacious environment. Safety is of paramount importance to us, and to this end, the passenger is secured using four point restraints and lap and diagonal seat belts.

Powering the Caddy CANTO is VW’s highly acclaimed 2.0 TDi engine with BlueMotion technology, mated to a 5 speed gearbox returning up to 67.3mpg.

ACCESSIBILITY AND SAFETY COMES FIRST

One thing you’re assured with the CANTO is first class accessibility. The low angle ramp and one touch release makes wheelchair entry and exit nice and easy. An optional electric winch is available should you need extra help.

Once inside the wheelchair passenger will feel safe and secure as their wheelchair will be secured safely with high quality four point wheelchair restraints and, the same as the other passengers will be kept safe with lap and diagonal seat belts.

The flexible seating of the CANTO means it can accomodate 5 passengers plus the wheelchair occupant.

START/STOP. Automatically turns the engine off when you stop and engage neutral. As soon as it’s time to move, the engine starts up again. A simple, but highly-effective system.

HILL HOLD ASSIST. On inclines, Hill Hold Assist helps you make a smooth and efficient getaway. It works by holding the brakes on for a short time, meaning you don’t need to rev the engine unnecessarily.

LOW ROLLING RESISTANCE TYRES. These don’t need to work as hard to get your vehicle moving (and keep it rolling) which is especially useful when shifting heavy loads. As friction between the tyre and the road is reduced the engine has to work less.

REGENERATIVE BRAKING. When you brake, the energy recuperation system uses momentum to turn the alternatorand charge the battery. This way the system makes the most of the energy when you brake.
