RotationAll players must stay in the same rotation as when they entered the court until the ball is in play. On serve receive, once the ball is up you are free to move wherever. When you gain the serve back, the team moves clockwise and there is a new server.

MovesIn a serve the player holds the ball in one hand and follows through to hit it with the other hand in an attempt to get it into the opponent's court.
A spike is usually the third hit with an open hand. The object is to hit the ball down with your hand so that it lands on the opponent's court and cannot be defended.
Blocking refers to the actions taken by players standing at the net to stop the opponent's spike A bump pass is the attempt by the team to receive an attack. A bump lands it the fore arm.
