Nepal in top priority:CG PresidentChaudhary Group President Mr. Binod Chaudhary held an interaction with around 30 business journalists from main-stream media at CUG.

President of Chaudhary Group (CG) Mr. Binod Chaudhary said that Ne-pal remains top priority of his group for the invest-ment. Speaking at an interaction program with business re-porters in Chaudhary Ud-hyog Gram (CUG), Nawal-parasi on December 13, Chaudhary said CG has begun building CUG satel-lite in Bardiya and is plan-ning one in Inaruwa. He also said that the group is building a 7-star hotel in Meghauli (a first in Ne-pal) and CG|Landmark in Bharatpur. Recalling the difficul-ties of running business during the decade-long Maoist insurgency, Mr. Chaudhary said that the group struggled through all odds to prove what it is today. “Clarity in vision and dedication will ensure achievements in any dif-ficult situations,” he said. Though the contribution of manufacturing sector has plunged from 12 percent to 6 percent in GDP of the country, the CG President said that the group has

proven to be successful in the same. “As the govern-ment has facilitated the cement sector, the cement produced in the country has the capacity to pro-duce cement of the inter-national standards,” he added. CUG which sprawls over 80 bighas of land has four snack plants including Wai Wai, brewery, electronics

and ayurveda factories, among others. It also has nine-hole golf course and a temple, replica of Chen-nai based Shankaracha-rya, is being built.Mr. Chaudhary expressed his best wishes for suc-cessful tenure of new Sejon, an umbrella or-ganization of business journalist, under Chairman Mr. Bigyan Adhikari.
