Tuesday, May 16, 2017 is Field Day for our 1st
through 6th graders, and the theme is SUPERHEROS!
Students will be participating in games, activities,
enjoying lunch outside, and celebrating the end of the
school year. We would like to have some real commu-
nity “superhero's” join us that day. If you –or someone
you know– is a firefighter, police office, military per-
son, doctor, nurse, or other community hero and
could spend time with us on Field Day, please contact

Second Semester Exam Schedule May 19, 22, and 23, 2017
Middle school classes all have quarter exams with the exception of elective/special classes. Middle
school teachers and students should follow the review and exam schedule below for quarter exams.
All middle school students must take the quarter exams. Middle school quarter exams count as two
test grades on the fourth quarter.
High school classes all have semester exams with the exception of some elective classes. See the rule
on exempt students below for high school students only.
Thursday, May 18, 2017 – OFFICIAL REVIEW DAY
1st-7th period classes will meet at regular times. All classes with the exception of elective classes are
required to hold a review. Please go over the information for the test with your students. High
school students that maintain an “A” for each quarter and on each quarterly exam (1st and 3rd quarter
exam) and semester exam (December) will be exempted from the May Comprehensive Semester re-
view and exam. It is the responsibility of the teacher to check the above items for exempt students.
This is school policy and must be followed. If students are exempt from the exams, they are also ex-
empt from the review.
Fourth Period Elective Classes are listed on two days for exams to provide for the A and B class
(such as Spanish 9, Personal Finance 10, and Keyboarding 11). Middle school Spanish, study skills,
and keyboarding will need to make arrangements to complete both your A and B class sections
Note – Chapel will be held on Thursday, May 18. All students are required to attend with the excep-
tion of seniors who will be preparing for graduation.
