On the 8th January, ‘Prerna’ - the

Community Outreach Club organised an event

called ‘Swadeshi Bhojan’.

Students brought different food items

unique to their home towns and served them to

the attendees. The event was a visual treat with

as many as twenty delicacies being showcased in

stalls put up in the Yoga Hall. Around 900

people had the opportunity of relishing the food

items that were served on first-come-first-serve

basis. The dishes were brought from states such

as Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Telangana,

Kerala, Karnataka and Maharashtra among

others.

Students and faculty members expressed

their happiness at the initiative taken to bring in

all delicacies under one roof and paving way for

a harmonious co-existence. Members of the club

thanked the contributors for making the event

successful and promised to conduct the event on

a larger scale to accommodate more people in the

future.

As a tribute to Swami Vivekananda, India

celebrates National Youth Day every year on the

12th of January. To commemorate this occasion,

ASE-B hosted an energising talk by Mr. Mithun

Chakravarthy, a well-known TV Anchor. He

enlightened the audience with the awe-inspiring

life of Swami Vivekananda and how he went on

to become one of the world’s most illuminated

personalities.

The speaker addressed the crowd in the

Kannada, which kept the audience engrossed. He

kindled the fire of patriotism within the hearts of

the youth.

The Department of

ECE and CSE of Amrita

School of Engineering,

Bengaluru Campus, hosted

the 2nd IEEE International

Conference on VLSI

Systems, Architecture,

Technology and Applications (VLSI – SATA

2016) with a theme of System Solutions for

Emerging Applications.

The 3-Day conference was technically

co-sponsored by IEEE Bangalore Section, IEEE

CAS, VLSI Society of India and IETE. The

financial sponsors were Maxim Integrated, Intel,

Mahindra Comviva, Cadence, Mentor Graphics,

Infineon Technologies and Convergent

Technologies.

This conference is an annual forum to

bring together Researchers, Educators and

Practitioners to discuss broader spectrum of

VLSI topics from Systems, Architecture, Design

Technology and Applications to understand and

enhance the knowledge of integration of VLSI

Systems, Architecture and Design for emerging

applications.

VLSI-SATA 2016 began with the

preconference tutorials on 10th January 2016.

There were four tutorials lined up. The first

tutorial was “Go2UVM, the fastest way to get

started with the semiconductor industry’s most

adopted Verification Methodlogy (UVM)” by

Mr. T. Nagasundaram, Mr. Azhar Ahammad and

Ms. Anupam Maurva, CVC , Bengaluru.

The Theme for the second tutorial was

“Processing Beyond Processors- Redefining DSP

Systems” by Mr. Tony Thomas and

Mr. Mohammed Chalil, Logosent

Semiconductors, Bengaluru.

The third tutorial by Mr. H. Balachandar

and Mr. G. Prakash, Coreel Technologies,

Bangalore helped understand the Advanced Zynq

-7000 SOC architecture and ADC with Vivado.

The final tutorial was Design, Fabrication

and Testing of Microwave CMOS Distributed

Amplifiers and Oscillators by Dr. Kalyan

Bhattacharyya and Dr. Bala Tripura Sundari,

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore.

Participants expressed that it was a good

experience for them as it gave them an

opportunity to meet more people involved in the

field of VLSI. Most of participants were of the

opinion that the conference helped them get

more exposure to the knowledge content on

VLSI Design and they are looking to many such

conferences/workshops in the near future.

The Conference was inaugurated on 11th

Vision and Implication on Wireless and Silicon

Technologies” by Dr. Josef Hausne and

“Hardened, Low-Power Communication Links:

VLSI Design in Extreme Environments” by

Dr. Forrest Brewer.

The talks were followed by paper

presentation sessions in three tracks (Systems

and Architecture, Technology and Applications)

witnessing good participation from Academia &

Industry.

The Second day of conference started

with two invited talks. Mr. Vinay Shenoy,

Managing Director, Infineon Technologies,

India delivered a talk on “Emerging Trends in

Automotive Electronics” and Mr. Rajsekaran

Soruban, Technology Leader - Minimum Viable

Products, Mahindra Comviva enthralled the

audience with his talk on “Fundamental muscles

for innovation”.

Followed by the talks there were paper

presentation sessions in three tracks.

The conference witnessed participants

from various Universities and industry

professionals and received good feedback and

response setting the perfect interactive

atmosphere for early 2016.

The School celebrated ‘Makara

Sankranthi’ with a lot of zeal and fanfare.

‘Bhogi’, the first day of Pongal was celebrated

with the ceremonial lighting of the bonfire made

of old, unused, useless things thereby

symbolically letting go of the past and hoping for

a new beginning. All the students came together

to decorate the college premises.

On 14th January morning, master chefs of

the School came together and prepared the

traditional sweet dish-‘Pongal’ and distributed it

to the students and staff. Colourful rangoli

adorned the floors of the campus. The students

scrambled to build kites as part of the kite

making and flying competition held by the

SPICMACAY and Prakriti Clubs.

The evening saw the blue sky dotted with

vibrant and colourful kites soaring, which

marked the culmination of the memorable

Sankranthi festivities on the campus.

The 31st

South Zone

Inter

University

Youth Festival

was held at

Mangalore

University

from 18th to

22nd January

2016. The South Zone comprises 99 universities

from the states of Kerala, Karnataka, Tamilnadu,

Andhra Pradesh and Pondicherry. 34 students

from Amrita University participated in “Waves

2015”, which was held under the aegis of the

Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and

secured 13 prizes. Our university has been

participating in this competition for the past few

years and this was the first time we made such a

great achievement. According to one of the AIU

officials, who is also a jury member, Amrita

showcased a tremendous progress in all

categories this year and became one of the

promising universities in south zone. We were

one of the very few universities which did not

have dedicated schools or departments in Dance,

Theatre, Music and Fine Arts, yet won many

prizes.

To compete with top students from

various universities itself was a matter of great

fulfilment. Among five categories which

included Music, Theatre, Dance, Fine Arts and

Literary, Amrita University bagged event wise

championship in literary events and Theatre

events. 15 students (5 items) were qualified for

the National Youth Festival which is to be held

at University of Mysore from 15th to 19th

February 2016.

The success, truly deserved and earned

by our students, was an outcome of their

extensive hard work and constant support from

authorities, teachers and renowned trainers. All

of which made our students stand out from the

crowd. The announcement of prizes lit fire to the

enthusiasm of all participants. With great

excitement, the winners received the prizes one

by one. This remarkable achievement has spread

the fame and reputation of our university far and

wide.

The Department of

Electrical & Electronics

Engineering of the

School hosted the

Biennial International

Conference “Power and

Energy Systems Towards

Sustainable Energy 2016 -

(PESTSE 2016)” in association with IEEE

Bangalore section and IEEE Power &

Energy Society (PES) - Bangalore Chapter, from

January 21st to 23rd, 2016.

The conference aimed at providing a

platform for researchers, scientists, industrial

professionals and students to exchange & share

their research accomplishments, achievements

and new ideas on the contemporary & emerging

trends in Power and Energy Systems. This also

aimed at enabling them to arrive at new ideas

and techniques not only to enhance Power and

Energy, but also to work towards sustaining it.

The conference received 350 papers, 17

from abroad and 333 from within India, out of

which 146 were selected through double blind

peer review process. 134 authors registered for

the Conference.

This three day event, started off with the

tutorial sessions conducted by experts in their

fields, in order to facilitate brain storming

discussions which are about to follow these two

days. The speakers were:

The second day (22nd January 2016) saw

the formal inaugural ceremony. The Chief

Guest for the occasion was Mr. Kris

Gopalakrishnan, Co-founder Infosys Ltd.,

Chairman Axilor Ventures.

Inauguration was followed by Keynote

Address by Dr. Muhammad H. Rashid -

Professor, Electrical and Computer Engineering,

University of West Florida, USA titled “Power

Electronics Applications in Renewable Energy”

and a panel discussion on “Digital World in

Power Sector” with Dr. R. Nagaraja, (Chapter

representative of Power Engineering Society

(PES) for R-10 west, & Managing Director,

PRDC, Bangalore) as Moderator and Mr. Babu

Narayan, Chief Technical Advisor, PRDC (on

Smart grid), Mr. Giri Prathivadi, HP(Internet of

Things), Mr. Sri Chandra, IEEE India Office

(Big Data Analytics) and Mr. Ganga Prasad,

Director, CDAC, Bengaluru (Cyber Security) as

Panel Members.

In the post lunch session 65 papers were

presented in two technical sessions, with six

parallel tracks, at six different halls. The tracks

were Contemporary Inverter Topology , Modern

Chopper Topologies, Wind Energy Technologies

(WET), Solar Energy Conversion System

(SECS), Power Management & Optimization

(PMO), Power Quality and Renewable Energy

Harvesting Methods. Between the two sessions

another Keynote Address by Dr. Joachim Holtz,

Professor Emeritus and Consultant, University of

Wuppertal, Germany was arranged. He spoke on

“Energy Efficiency for High-Power Electrical

Drives”.

The day ended with cultural programmes

put together by the students of ASE, Bengaluru

followed by a grand banquet dinner.

The final day (23rd January 2016) started

with a Keynote Address by Dr. Ralph M.

Kennel, Professor, Technische Universitaet

Muenchen, Germany on “Predictive control-the

powerful method to control power converters and

drives in the future”, which was followed by 26

Poster Presentations and a Panel Discussion on

“Contemporary research trends in Microgrid /

distributed generation” with Mr. Sethuraman

Ganesan (Product Manager- Power Grid

Division, ABB India Ltd.,) as Moderator and

Dr. Ajit Ghodke, Manager-Technical, Partner

Business, Schneider Electric (Microgrid

Architecture and Solutions), Dr. Manohar Singh,

Engineering Officer, CPRI (System protection

with major integration of renewables in

distribution systems), Mr. Narayanan Rajagopal,

Senior Scientist, Tata Consulting

Services (Renewables and Microgrids in Smart

grids) and Dr. Gurunath Gurrala, Assistant

professor, IISc, Bengaluru (Integration of

renewables in weak grid systems) as Panel

Members.

Technical session IV with 43 papers

followed by Panel discussion in 6 parallel tracks

were conducted.

The Valedictory was presided by

Dr. Hariram Satheesh, Principal Scientist, ABB

and IEEE PES Bangalore chapter Joint

Secretary. He shared few feedback about the

conference and fixed the Theme for PESTSE-

2018 Conference.

Amrita School of Engineering,

Bengaluru celebrated the 67th Republic Day on

26th January 2016 with a lot of pomp and gaiety.

The event began with an address by

Mr. Sanjay R. (S4 ME) who quoted the preamble

to the constitution and its further amendments,

emphasizing the merits of a government - of the

people, by the people and for the people.

The gathering was entreated to a well-

coordinated parade under Commander

Mr. Shashi Kumar M.E., faculty member,

Department of ME, Pilot Leader Dr. Praveen D.,

faculty member, Department of Physics and

Student Leader Mr. Arvind Nivas (S6 ME).

This preceded an inspection of the troop

by Director Br. Dhanraj, Associate Dean

Dr. Rakesh S.G. and Chairman-ASB Mr. Manoj.

The national flag was hoisted in

synchronisation with the national anthem played

on the trumpet by Mr. Amogh P. (S4 ME) and

vocals by the audience consisting of faculty

members and students.

The School launched a new club under

the auspices of Amritadhara-the Cultural Ensem-

ble titled "The SQUAD - Adventure Beyond

Boundary" on the occasion of Republic Day

Celebrations in the Campus on 26th January,

2016.

The objective of launching “THE

SQUAD” is to inculcate the feeling of

patriotism, celebrating national festivals in the

School through a formal parade and exposing the

cadets to adventurous activities like Trekking,

Cycling, Functional Workouts, Mountaineering,

Rafting etc.

The logo of THE SQUAD is:

The logo portrays two faces of a roaring

lion. The purple side of it represents patriotism,

independence and freedom and the orange side

signifies adventure, high energy and zeal.

‘THE SQUAD’ kick-started its activities

by a parade to mark the importance of Republic

Day of our nation.

On behalf of SPICMACAY ASE-B,

Ms. Sushmita K. (S6 ECE) welcomed Pandit

Hariprasad Chaurasia and his accompanists. The

two mellifluous renditions by the maestro

entranced the audience. The atmosphere was

ethereal as Panditji’s soulful notes evoked a

sense of peace and calmness in the gathering. In

the impromptu, light-hearted interactive session,

Panditji answered various questions posed by the

members of the audience.

The Vote of Thanks was delivered by

Ms. Amrita Aravindakshan (S6 CSE), Secretary

of SPICMACAY, who invited Br. Dhanraj and

Dr. Rakesh S.G. to felicitate the guests and

present them with a tribute from the students in

the form of paintings and sketches by Mr. Md.

Razaa and Ms. Rohita J (S4 ECE). She also

conveyed gratitude to SPICMACAY, Bengaluru,

on behalf of SPICMACAY, ASE-B.

FPGA, how it is built and also spoke about

how a highly reliable FPGA is becoming

critical in many fields ranging from military,

aerospace, networking, medical, automotive

etc. The talk gathered an audience of around

50, which included Research Scholars,

Faculty Members and Students.

A guest lecture on “High Performance

Embedded Computing” on 7th January 2016

by Dr. Prabhakar Mishra, Professor in PES

Institute of Technology. His talk

concentrated on his work on High

Performance Embedded Computing done at

ISRO. He also showcased real world

scenarios of how FPGAs can be deployed.

Ph.D. degree from University

of Nottingham, UK. His are-

Ms. Shruthi N.V. (S4) of M.Tech. in

Communication Engineering & Signal

Processing has been selected to pursue her

major project at University of Trento, Italy

under the Student Exchange Program offered

by Amrita Center for International Programs.

It is a fully funded offer. A grant of 850

Euros/month will be provided for five

months and a travel contribution of 820

Euros will also be given. The project work is

titled ‘Efficient Techniques for Baseband

Detection of Linearly and Non-Linearly

Distorted Multi-Carrier Signals in the

Framework of 5G Multi-Gigabit Downlink

Scenarios’ and is being carried out under the

guidance of Dr. Navin Kumar (Internal

Guide) and Dr. Claudio Sacchi (External

Guide), University of Trento, Italy.

Ms. Dotty Johnson (S6, ECE) & Mr. Vamsi

(S6, EIE) along with 5 students from the

Departments of CSE & ME won the first

place in ‘One Act Play’ at the 31st Inter

University-South India Youth Festival held

at Mangalore University, Mangalgangothri

during 18th - 22nd January 2016. .

Mr. Tattwa Darshi Panda (S8,EIE) was one

among the five students in the entire country

who participated in the Indo- European Study

Group Meeting on ‘Industrial Problems’ held

at M.S. University of Baroda from 5th to 9th

January 2015 in Vadodara. He was a part of

the research team that worked on

determining drag resistance of a moving

body in water using Lattice Boltzman

Method under the supervision of Prof. K.K.

Vishwanathan (UTM, Malaysia) and Dr. Ajit

“ELECSPIRE”

‘Vidyuth’-the departmental forum organized

‘ELECSPIRE’ on 13th January 2016 at Rama

hall. The event saw 50 participants. The event

aimed at bringing the latest technology and the

ideas from the field of Electrical Engineering to

use and successfully deliver a taste of the real

world examples to all the participants present.

It consisted of 3 rounds:

1st round: “Symbol identification”-Some of

the electrical and electronics symbol were

displayed on the screen. Participants had to

recognize the symbols and write them on a

sheet of paper.

2nd round: “Real World Instrument”- Real

world instruments and devices images were

displayed on the screen, where in participants

had to identify, and if possible, write one of

their applications.

3rd round: “Common Difference Round”-

Two electrical elements/devices were dis-

played. Participants had to identify either one

common point or difference between the two.

Each round had specific marks and was

time bound.

IEEE PES Student Chapter organized:

A distinguished lecture on “Hardware-in-the-

Loop Systems with Power Electronics - a

Powerful Simulation Tool” by Dr. Ralph M.

Kennel, TU Munich. His main areas of

interest are sensorless Control of AC Drives,

Predictive Control of Power Electronics and

Hardware-in-the-Loop Systems. The lecture

was very interesting and beneficial to

industrial experts, academicians, researchers,

PG and UG students who have attended the

DLP. The session was concluded with vote of

thanks and felicitation of the speaker. The

seminar was organized very well by the IEEE

PELS student Branch chapter members with

the of the faculty members of the Department

of EEE.

A technical seminar on ‘Excitation Controls

- Automatic Voltage Regulators’ by

Mr. Arvind Gupta, AGM, OTS-Electrical,

Adani Power Ltd., Ahmedabad on 20th Janu-

ary, 2016, who has 15 years experience in the

installation & commissioning of electrical

systems of gas & steam turbine based power

plants in India and abroad while being with

BHEL. The seminar was attended by II & IV

year B.Tech., M.Tech. and Ph.D. students of

EEE department. The lecture started off with

the physics of flux generation, voltage

production and the control of generator field

current through automatic voltage regulator

in a power plant environment. He also gave a

comparative study on both Brushless and

Static Excitation systems which are em-

ployed at Mundra Thermal Power Plant (4 x

330 MW plus 5 x 660 MW) at Gujarat. The

session concluded with vote of thanks and

felicitation of the speaker.

Hypersonic Research Laboratory

With the grace of AMMA, Department

of Mechanical Engineering inaugurated the

“Shock Wave and Hypersonic Research

Laboratory” on 7th January 2016 in the

esteemed presence of Campus Director

Br. Dhanraj and Dr. Jagadeesh Gopalan &

Dr. K.P.J. Reddy Professors in the Department

of Aerospace Engineering, IISc., Bengaluru.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Amrita

University) is the first private university to have

a hypersonic testing facility in India. Part of

this testing facility - Shock Tunnel, Test

Section and the Vacuum Pump have been

donated by IISc., Bengaluru.

‘INGENIUM’ - the departmental forum orga-

nized:

“Screw Your Brain with Ingenum-I”

The event was conducted on 18th January

2016 under the able guidance of Mr. V. Ravi

Kumar, Mentor, Ingenium Forum. The

main theme of the event was to instil

awareness about the basic mechanisms that

are involved in the basic machines which is

utilized in day-to-day life. Around 67

students from S2 ME attended the event.

Students were briefed about the event and the

introduction was held in a very interactive

manner. First part of the event was exploring

a basic machine and explanation about the

mechanism. Working of toilet flushers were

explained in a detailed way. Another, a myth

buster question was about Archer’s Paradox.

Then a brain teaser question was posed and

students were asked to find the answers

before the next session. Participants enjoyed

the event and were impressed with the

technical event on machines.

“Screw your brain with Ingenium-II” The event was conducted on 21st January

2016. It was a continuation of the “Screw

Your Brain with Ingenium-I” conducted

on 18th January 2016. Around 53 students

from S2 ME attended the event. Students

came up with the answers posed during the

previous episode. First part of the event was

exploring a basic machine and explanation

about the mechanism. Working of Hand

Grenades were explained in a detailed

way. In the second part, students were given

a crazy logical question with miscellaneous

answers and voting for answers were called.

Then a brain teaser question was posed and

students were asked to find the answers

before the next session.

“Screw your brain with Ingenium-III”

The event was conducted on 28th January

2016. It was in continuation of the “Screw

your brain with Ingenium-II” conducted

on 21st January 2016. 52 students from S2

ME attended the event. The procedure of

conducting the event was similar to the

earlier events. Working of Air Bags was

explained in a detailed way. In the second

part, students were given a brain teaser

question. Then a brain teaser question was

posed and students were asked to find the

answers before the next session. Participants

showed their enthusiasm by attending the

event in large numbers consistently.

Organized a visit to IMTEX ’16 for III year

students on 23rd January 2016. The exhibitors

were from 30 countries and from over 500

brands. A total of 69 students of S6 ME

registered for the event. The students were

accompanied by Mr.Phanibhushana.M.V.,

Dr. G.B. Veeresh Kumar, Mr. Ravikumar V.

and Mr. Mohan Kumar. S, faculty members

in the department. The students were exposed

to various machines ranging from small drill

bits to large compacting machine. They also

came across new things like water jet cutting

that could cut through solid metal about 15

cm thick. The expo included large number of

robotic arms employed in various fields like

packing and unpacking, precision cutting,

bending operations etc. The students were

given a free copy of MMI India, the official

magazine of Indian Tool Manufactures’

Association. Overall, it was an educating and

a knowledge enhancing opportunity for the

students.

Exhibition.

IMTEX 2016 is South & South-East Asia's

apex exhibition showcasing the very latest

trends in metal forming machine tools as well

as technological refinements from India &

other global players. The mega event attracts

visitors from a wide spectrum of

manufacturing and ancillary industries

starting with key decision & policy makers as

well as industry captains who are keen to

source latest technologies and manufacturing

solutions for their production lines

throughout the world. The mega show, also

the apex event of IMTMA, laid out the very

latest machines/equipment, processes, tools,

accessories, software and raw materials as

well as feed stocks required to manufacture

formed parts in every engineering

application.

It is of great honour to say that Department of

Mechanical Engineering, Amrita School of

Engineering, Bengaluru has been selected

consecutively for the third time, to

represent and showcase their R&D

capabilities at IMTEX by exhibiting their

B.Tech. projects.

‘SAEINDIA’ Collegiate club in

collaboration with Quiz club conducted the

final round of ‘Auto Quiz’ on 29th January

2016. The first round was held in the month

of October 2015. The objective of the Auto

Quiz was to bring all the automobile

enthusiasts together and test their skills. 20

teams, with 3 participants each, participated

in the first round, out of which 8 teams were

selected for the final round. The questions of

the final round were 30% technical and 70%

general. Students participated in the quiz

with great interest and had great fun. The

quiz as won by 'Autowala’.

‘SANKHYA’ - the Mathematics Club

organized:

‘MAT MODE’ - A competition that

puts intelligence, speed and teamwork to

test in association CIR, ASE-B. Strong

Mathematical skills, including the ability

to work with numbers with rapidity and

accuracy are skills in great demand.

These skills are a part of recruitment test

of major corporates in the fields of IT and

Finance. They are also a part of major

postgraduate entrance exams like GATE,

CAT, etc. More than 400 B. Tech. and M.

Tech. Students wrote a test in the

Amriteswari Hall and Sudhamani Hall on

2nd November, 2015. Based on the

performance in the test, ten teams (two

students in a team) were selected to get

the cash prizes and certificates.

‘GANITHA YATRA’ - in the nearby

school namely Presidency Public School,

BSK 3rd stage, Bangalore on 15th

November 2015 for about four hours.

This is the event in which we reach out to

school students and teach them

mathematical concepts through fun-filled

activities, as we believe that an

experience is motivation and it stimulates

the creativity of children. There are many

real life problems are related to Maths

and learning Maths through activities

fosters self learning. About 40 students

of 8th, 9th and 10th classes have

participated in the event. The topics

covered in the event are Coordinate

Geometry, Set Theory, tricks for fast

calculation, Areas, Tangrams and

Congruency of Triangles. These topics

were explained in detail through various

activities by the Sankhya team. Students

participated with great enthusiasm. The

competitions were held on all the above

topics and students were also presented

with prizes based on their performances.

Students and teaching staff members of

these two schools gave an excellent

feedback and have also expressed their

desire to have more such events in near

future.

of Swami Dhyanamrita Chaitanya between

24th & 29th December 2015. Students also

got a chance to have a question answer

session with him personally.

43 students (across all semesters) went on a

Spiritual Book Exhibition trip to

Ramakrishna Ashram in Bengaluru on 10th

January 2016. The students also had two

spiritual discourses by Swami

Shanthimayana Nanda Maharaj and another

Swamiji. On their way back, they visited the

ancient monument - Bull Temple.

Launched a new initiative - ‘Seva Darshan’

under the auspices of ‘Prerana’-the

Community Outreach Club exclusively for

the I year B.Tech. students. This initiative

aims at providing an opportunity to the world

of Seva. As a first trip, volunteers of

‘Prerana’ took around 40 interested students

“Shree Ramana Maharshi Academy for

Blind” for knowing and understanding the

children in the school on 24th January 2016.

It was a full day event which ended with lots

of promises on volunteering from the student

body.

12 students, upon the request from

S-VYASA Yoga University, volunteered

during INFO CYRA (Yoga International

Conference), which was inaugurated by the

Honorable Prime Minister of India

Mr. Narenda Modi on 3rd January 2016.

On the occasion of Republic Day (26th

January 2016), around 50 students of

‘Prerana’ and ‘Vedanta’ clubs organized

Vijaya Raksha promotion in “Lalbagh”.

They were able to explain the concept to the

public and do the honours for more than 350

people. The initiative received full support

and earned goodwill from the public. As a

part of the publicity of Vijaya Raksha, a

group of 20 students also carried out the hon-

ours at Total Mall, Sarjapur Road.

Organized a lecture on ‘Insiders Vs

Outsiders’ in Sanskrit Studies’ by renowned

Writer Mr. Rajiv Malhotra from USA on 25th

January 2016.

The lecture was attended by 200 students from

the School and 20 guests from outside Amrita.

The occasion was also used for the launch of Mr.

Malhotra’s new book ‘The Battle for Sanskrit’.
