The leaflets explaining each unit have been sent home and are also available to view or download from the class pages of the website. In addition we are always looking for opportunities to enrich the curriculum and make it as accessible and engaging for our children as possible. So, next week, apart from all the usual great learning there is lots go- ing on: Early Years are busily monitoring their duck eggs from the Vauxhall city farm and are looking forward to the hatching date (due on Monday 16th May!) Y3 are having a Roman “visitor” in school all day next week so they can deep- en their understanding of the Roman Empire and its impact on Britain Y4 are off to the Horniman museum to help them understand their science work on living things and their habitats Volume 9 No 28. 29th April 2016 Dates for the summer term Children’s learning at Friars: Year 3 are learning about the Romans this half term. They researched mosaics, wrote about them and designed their own based on animals that they had seen on their recent trip to London Zoo.
