Apart from guests, the students of PGDM program also planted saplings. The program ended with high-tea for the guests, participants, students and faculty/staff of NIBM.

The objective of the Programme on Corporate Governance and Leadership for Top Executives from the Financial System was to sensitize participants to the challenges of governance in today's dynamic world. The programme was held at NIBM campus from 11-16 December, 2017. The 26 participants hailed from various countries like Russia, Krgyz Republic, Mozambique, Syria, Venezuela, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Palestine, Jamaica etc.The programme involved sessions in corporate governance covering the regulatory aspects, accounting issues, efciency issues, risk management etc. Leadership issues like managing self and attaining well-being, transformational leadership, and stakeholder management were also covered along with inputs on management of technology, customer focus, and corporate social responsibility. On the last day of the programme the participants had the opportunity to interact with Mr. Hemendra Sharma (Director, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India).

Familiarization Programme on Commercial Banking for Bangladesh Bank(Batch I) - January 21-31, 2018 (Dr Gargi Sanati & Prof. Sanjay Basu)

(Batch II) - January 22-February 1, 2018 (Dr Smita Roy Trivedi & Dr Arindam Bandyopadhyay)

NIBM has been conducting programme for the Assistant Directors of Bangladesh Bank since August 2015 under the title “Orientation Programme for the Assistant Directors of Bangladesh Bank”. It is 11 day long duration programme. The main objective of the programme is to make the participants equipped with the operational aspects of commercial banking with specic focus on lending, strategic management, HR and leadership, international banking, treasury operations and risk management. With the overwhelming response from the participants the Bangladesh Bank decided to continue the same for the Ofcers of Bangladesh Bank since 2018 under the name of Familiarization Programme in Commercial Banking. The rst two programme are held recently during January 21-31 and January 22 – February 1, 2018.

Besides class room sessions this programme provides an opportunity to the participants to visit the central bank of India, RBI and College of Agricultural Banking (CAB), one of the commercial banks of India.

NIBM organized an International Programme in Bank Financial Management with focus on Risk Management & Basel II & III, for the benet of executives from banks & nancial institutions in which 33 participants from 17 countries participated. This program also had Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India sponsored participants under ITEC/SCAAP program. Apart from class-room sessions from experts, the program also included study visits to banks and RBI.
