Volume of Prism:To find the volume of a rectangular prism you have to do like you are going to find the area of a normal rectangle, the difference is that in a rectangular prism you multiply by height instead of just multiplying lxw.
The formula to find the volume is:A= LxWxH
Examples:
5
26
A= l*w*hA=5x2x6A=60
7
53
A=l*w*hA=3*5*7A= 105
4

3
A= l*w*hA=3x4x8A= 96
Volume of Cylinder : To find the volume of a cylinder you have to use the π symbol that stands for Pi. Since it is a cylinder that includes a circle then you must use π for the circumference and area of a circle.
The formula for finding the volume of a cylinder is :
Πr squaredh

A=πrsquaredhA= π 9squared7A=63 π
Volume of a PyramidTo find the volume of a pyramid you have to multiply the base times the height and then by 1/3 .
The formula to find the formula is:
A=1/3 bh
Examples:
6
7
V=1/3(B)(h)V=1/3(7)(6)V=14
9
5
V=1/3(b)(h)V=1/3(5)(9)V=15
